Understanding Fedor's decision to sign with M1

This is a pretty good article about who Fedor is and where he comes from. On the last page, he really explains just how difficult the UFC was. They basically were asking him to sign his ENTIRE life to them and it was non-negotiable.

If I lost one fight, then the UFC had the right to rip up the contract. At the conclusion of the contract, if I am undefeated, then it automatically extends for an as yet unspecified period of time, though for the same compensation.

The article was a bit long for me, I could have gone without the baby stories, but it was cool.

Zuffa does have the right to terminate contracts for a number of reasons, including losing.
 
It seems like Fedor didnt like someone beign teh boss, so he signed elsewhere, where the odds are he will not fight another top HW unless a miracle happens. It is sad, but at teh end of the day he is the best HW, but can no longer prove it
 
a fairly recent interview suggested he was all "excited" about his future, he just looks done IMO
