Poseidon problem

Fabulous One

Active member
Well, its time to confess. I don't know whats up, if its the new formula or what, but what ever it is, it goes though me like liquid draino. I thought maybe it was the other bulk powders that I was taking and I eliminated them one by one, until I found the problem with my explosive bathroom trips, the Poseidon. I have loved the supplement and have a mad stash of it yet, but its started to kill my ass! It goes straight through me and brings basically everything else along with it.

The older formula didn't do this to me, so I don't know whats up. I love all the methyl B-12 and Niacin along with the other stuff, but I can't handle exploding any longer!

Have you guys seen this and if so whats the cure?

Sounds like your sensative to the magnesium content. If your taking the full dosage(6 servings), cut the dosage in half to let your body adjust and then slowely begin to work your way back to full dosage.

I've cut my dose in half of what i was taking which was 3 servings per day. I'm even getting the grumbling stomach at half a serving. Maybe I need a few weeks off from it and start back really low serving maybe like a 1/4 teaspoon or something per serving.

If your still getting the grumbling feeling at half serving then cutting back to perhaps 1-1.5 servings a day would probably be a good idea. Your plan looks good, let us know how everything turns out.

I've found Swell not to be nearly as bad with the squirts than the initial Poseidon.

But I LIKE your squirts sweetie pie. :D

Wow, the formula is that different? A shame they had to change what many considered to be a really, really good thing.

The formula is exactly the same as it has always been minus the addition of Shilajit. Why Fab is reacting to it now as opposed to before is something new to me since it's identical to what he's been using.

My only other thought is that the Poseidon Complex has settled leaving a higher proportion of magnesum content on the surface when he takes a scoop. Fab it may help if you could also try shaking the container up to perhaps ensure a more evened mix of the ingredients.

good idea D....could be it....

my tired raggedy old butt must be low on magnesium cause poseidon makes me feel gooood.:squat:

Report-

I must have been stocked up or something. been using Poseidon again and no problems whatsoever. I can definately feel the difference when I take it. I feel better for sure. But getting saturated with magnesium is rough on the old tar star!

The formula is exactly the same. We thought about removing all of the shilajit but have not changed it as of yet. The issues are definetly with the Magnesium. I have had a couple of individuals have the same thing happen. Normally it only happens at the beginning and then goes away after your body adjusts to the magnesium. However if you are getting adequate magnesium, then your body will reject it. Some individuals are very sensitive, and others are not. It can actually depend on the person, day, time, diet, eating habits, etc.

Generally most will not have any serious issues with the formula, but as with anything, supplement sensitivity is based on the individual. Some people see completely different benefits and completely different issues with any particular supplement.

Fabone, let me know if this continues, I will try to take care of you best I can. I don't want anyone to be unhappy with the results of our products. You can contact me directly if needed- [email protected]

Thanks for the support, we appreciate it.

<snip>

So NP has the version with shilajit? Invalid Link Removed shows the 900 gm container without shilajit in the ingredients list.

I really liked the original, and even though shilajit is probably a fairly small component of Poseidon, I simply haven't purchased anymore due to what I'd thought was a change to the original formula.

Any info on what's out there--and at NP in particular--would be great, thanks! (If NP's does have shilajit, then I'll have to grin and bare it, as I would've bought a couple of tubs during the Super Pole sale!!! 20% off of an already great price is hard to pass up!)

According to the main man, as of now it still has shilajit. Let me check with Colden to see about the NP inventory.

I need to correct my previous statement.. I have to try to keep up with which board and which company I am speaking of. Here is the situation at NP...

The formula for the Poseidon 900 at NP is still the same original formula. The new formula (which is minus the Shilajit) only started shipping today but NP doesn't have any of the new 900 in their stock as of yet. The Poseidon 440 available at NP does have the Shilajit removed, for now.

Here is the story of why we have 2 formulas...
We still have the original formula available but are not sending anymore out because of some studies that were released about heavy metals. We found that the benefits from the Shilajit were not obvious enough to take a chance on continuing to distribute. We are still researching and waiting on research to justify continuing the original formula.

There are companies that have the original formula available in both sizes. NP only has the original formula available in the 900. We have received exactly the same feedback with the new formula and the original. There have been no reports of lessened benefits from the new formula.

Once we receive more information we will make a solid decision on whether or not to continue the original or stick with the new. Hope that better answers the question.

One other thing.... NP only has about 12 - 15 of the original 900 left that I know of.....
