Liver Support supps like Milk Thistle/NAC are worthless and are theoretical in nature. I think there may be a few scrappy studies that compare milk thistle's liver regeneration rate with anabolic steroids, but of course the liver will repair itself even without these.

I don't think people like to face the reality that the methyls they take do a number on their liver and that's just something you gotta man up to.

Any scientific data that does NOT include a comparison of anabolic steroids+milk thistle are irrelevant due to the chemical pathways involved. I know it makes ppl feel better tho, using this stuff so i suppose that's what's most important.

I agree about the methyl steroids, but not necessarily with the part about "maning up" to what they will do to your liver. That is just not right. One product I formally believed in was Liv-52 since it has been around the longest and has the most "studies",

T-Bone,

Were you the one who went to the hospital because of Superdrol ?

So do you not use Liv.52 anymore ? I think you said you 'formerly' used it ?

Yes I used it for a month before the cycle at 8 tablets a day, and throughout the cycle. I guess it didn't really help though. I also took Milk Thistle, Red Yeast Rice, A lot of Fish Oil, Twinlabs Blood Pressure Control, Policonsonal....I had never seen the blood results tests when I was in the hospital, but I recently saw them at the doctors office. Good cholesterol was shown as "Too low to measure". I really kinda want to forget that time in my life but its really difficult too, especially with the hospital still calling me once in a while to remind me I owe them over $8000 for about the 3-4 days out of the two-three months I was back and fourth in the hospital.

Yeah, even way back I always speculated 'liver shield' pseudotherapy techniques to be crap and do nothing. Funny thing is ppl still believe that they can take 'Cycle Support' and be just as healthy.

It sounds like you recovered alright though.

btw,

I don't know if you picked up any Furzadrol, but if you did I'd be careful about your HDL/LDL levels shifting while using the product.

I'm against it b/c it is toxic to the human body. This is something that cannot be disputed. The only difference is how toxic it is to each individual person. That's it.

Well, this isn't necessarily true (unless you disambiguated 'hormones' in a more specific context in an earlier post). If we are speaking strictly about 17-aa (s), then yes, I would agree. However, that simply isn't the case for the parent hormone, Testosterone.

As well, 'toxic' (once again, if we are including Test in this category) is the improper word to use in this context. All hormones, including Test, have an 'affect' to varying degrees on the human body, but toxic is simply improper. Putting substances which are foreign to natural human production is obviously more adverse than those the body produces. I.e., Superdrol is 'worse' (to use a broad term once again) for your body than Testosterone.

However, this once again all comes down to personal use. In the wrong hands, any steroid can be a dangerous weapon. But, in the right hands, they can be very efficacious and generally 'safe' tools for people wishing to bolster their current lifestyle.

Painting all hormones as toxic shows a lack of knowledge on the subject.

It's kind of ironic you didn't source this post, don't you think?

Seriously though, I do not see many, unless it is for a purposeful writeup, citing their sources in an everyday post. Just as I do not carry around an Encyclopedia collection with me on a cart to bust one out each time I unload a 'fact' on somebody.

Really, Mullet, really? I think I have some evidence to suggest otherwise, Mozart.

;)

Chicken, I've spent the last 12 years of my life studying human anatomy, EX. Science, Sports Reahb amoung all the CERTs I have for CPT from highly respected places... So please, you made a post stating BB'ing is a theory, now please give me the facts and source for that. Let's get this ON!

Are you saying that it's not theoretical? Everything in bodybuilding and life sciences in general is theoretical. It's based on inductive reasoning and so you can never fully prove it. I'm curious what you mean?

Why didn't someone tell me we had another thread dedicated to ripping Reaper a new one?

People keep me posted damnit!

Much Love,

Im not sure if you intend that statement for me or the other guy?

I agree, in my research I cant find much proof on toxicity levels regarding 17aa. I am under the impression you would be much worse off as an alcoholic, then to use 17aa all the time. Its likely that it depends on how your body assimilates the different products too. I know from experience that pheraplex seemed much more harsh on my body than superdrol. Not stating a fact just personal experience :)

1. I referred to Superdrol in the 2 previous posts and nothing else so you can assume I am still referring to Superdrol in terms of toxicity, not testosterone.

2. Yes, I am aware of hormones being used properly. TRT and hormone replacement therapy in anti-aging clinics is one of them.

The person you were responding to asked:

So you're against them now, b/c you didn't know how to use them properly?

Implying plural or ambiguous hormones.

I wasn't referring to TRT in my mention of safety, but that works. Just a more general statement about your incorrect generalization.

B5150,

You really need to watch the movie "Idiocracy", it explains the future of humanity very well in my opinion. Sad part is the movie is a comedy, but I think there is real truth to it :(
Society has prevented evolutions "survival of the fittest" to weed out the idiots, and stop them from breeding like rabbits. Look at our friend twitch, he has 4 kids all from different mothers.
Seriously though that is one of the funniest movies Ive ever seen.

i saw this movie last night on one of the HBOs. Definitely funny and clever

Yep I saw the movie also. Pretty funny when they started using Garorade to grow their crops. I do think of that movie when I see products by VPX, BSN, MUSCLE TECH....Like that BSN No-Explode crap, the kids buy it because they like the pretty bottle(some adults too). I'd rather have a bottle of some bulk powder from Nutra that say the Name of the product on it thats it. No need for all the wasted money on pretty labels with shiny colors. What a waste, but oh well that is what sells to the 20 something crowd and teenagers(majority of the supplement industys business come from this age group).

Where is the link for this?
