My Doctors Visit

I started doing an extra hour of cardio as of Wednesday. So 2 hours of cardio a day total now. I plan on going back on the diet I was on before I had these problems. I don't know why I went off it or switched, in my opinion it was a big mistake. Now I will have to get rid of my creatine products, oh well. I'm to the point where lowering my blood pressure constantly consumes my mind. I gained a lot of weight just switching from The Metabolic Diet to Power Eating Plan. Metabolic Diet was the best thing for me and I had been following it consistantly for probally over 5 years.....Going back to it next Tuesday...Maybe I will make a log, maybe not...
Let me just add some levity to the situation or maybe some things that I am trying to implement in my life that I am having some success with. Keep in mind that I am at a place in my life where a healthy body composition and condition is more improtant to me for the purpose of long life. The amount of mass I carry is of no significance if next year someone else has to carry it for me in the box they bury me in.

You know what eating plan has been successful in keeping you fit. Keep in mind that a diet that can keep you fit when your activity level is less the optimum is a diet plan for a healthy lifestyle.

If you eat to train instead of training to eat you will burn yourself out. In other words, if you eat in such a way that you absolutely need to train at optimum intensity, duration and effectiveness in order to not get over fattened it is not a healthy diet. You are putting the cart before the horse and will burn out. It is healthier and will potentiate longevity if you eat to stay fit without huge swings in body composition and or body composition gaols.

If you feel like giving it a little extra here and there at the gym from time to time add a few extra protein calories here and there after your workouts. This way you can support any ambition that you did have without trying to overfeed yourself. I promise you that any scenario of over doing it without the perfect nutrition at that immediate time is not going to be of any detriment. But on the contrary it is far too easy to consume to much and not utilize it. You need to stop putting yourself behind the eight-ball as far as the balance of nutrition and energy expendature.

Personally I think that 2 hours of cardio a day is going to casue you to burn out. Take it easy man. Slow down. There is no rush. You made a mistake. You know what you did wrong. Learn your lesson and implement the changes that need to take place. The rest will happen.

You don't need to get rid of the creatine. Just don't use it. There may be a day when you might be able to use it for a period from time to time. I believe there may have been several to many factors contributing to your hypertension. Eliminate one item at a time and implement one change at a time. You have done so by eliminating the creatine and adding the BP medication. You feel better. You are more active on the cardio, but don't go overboard with it, seriously. Now make the transition (do not go nuts with extremes) over to the diet that you know will work for you.

If you feel motivated to keep a log why not consider keeping it in the 35 and older forum. I would enjoy following. By posting it up there you may be able to keep yourself associated with people of like mindedness and aspirations.

Keep it up!

Thanks B, I enjoy reading your posts. Yes I know what I did wrong. I was absolutely fine before I changed my diet. The reason I added the extra cardio was because I want to get the blood pressure down fast and I am scared. I plan on changing back to my regular diet on Tuesday.

Fear will elevate blood pressure ;)

I know what that sort of anxiety can do to you. Seriously, I do. Relax.
