It's Charlie Weiss and ND's S & C.
He slots players to his NFL level scheme, not schemes to his Collegiate players, their talents.
Ever notice how few successful college coaches do well in the NFL and the opposite is also true?
To use a military comparison - The NFl is like the Army Rangers, College is like Recruits - Rangers are killer dedicated fulltime professionals that do things clean without excess feel clinically by the numbers, recruits are emotionally variable raw athletic talent that need to be skilled molded and physically developed to a system, commanders/coaching requirements are very different, the NFL is employing specialists in statistical defined probability situations, College is about finding leaders and talent to get the gangs, the units, motivated to follow their individual assignments.
It takes a very different day to day management style and substance for someone to be an NFL coach versus being a college coach, it's night and day, very few of the best on either side can make the switch.
I probaly did'nt write this well, but maybe y'all get the idea, it's Charlie, he's a numerical OC playing the NFL specialist slotting game, not the emotionally motivating father for a collegiate program and
S & C (Strength and Conditioning) ND players are fat and slow, they are using an old H.I.T. style eat steak program of machines and unsupervised eating ,not enough Plyometrics and dietary controls, they need a program that develops explosive power and stamina, power and wind, they are way behind the times.
