I saw on NP, the bulk powder. Pretty good price for a kilo. Anyone currently using this, is it any good? Never ordered from NP, but would like to try their bulk powders out.

Glutamine is the biggest scam of the century.

Well we all know my opinion of your opinions but i'll keep this civil...

Throw away the studies for one friggin second and answer this: Have you tried it at appropriate doses before?

Until you have i would shut up...

I recently added 10g glutamine peptides along with 20g BCAA before AND after my workouts. With BCAA alone I always notice nothing. Since adding these in I am now up 3 pounds and only 3 pounds away from my all time high of 225 while MUCH leaner than I was last time I weighed this much.

It may not work for everyone but think about this: So what if the gut takes most of it!! If it somehow helps you digest and absorb more of your other amino acids by satisying the needs of your digestive system, do you REALLY care how it helped you gain muscle?

Also Reaper to feed you a bit of your own medicine

DID YOU READ WHAT HE ASKED?

PLEASE STAY ON TOPIC ON HIS THREAD - THANK YOU!

See how pretentious that is? And he even went as far as to ask that we don't get into this.

Agg pm me because i can't link to my suggestion on here.

CNW had GEE for a time, I believe. I think the debate about glut is that it simply isn't absorbed readily, so even at good doses, the body can't effectively utilize it.

Yeah I totally agree on the science but something is going on since I started it. I also started bulk colleus forskohlli at the same time but unless colleus is some amazing stuff then Glutamine peptides are helping...

i've tried glutamine in the past with okay results as far as recovery goes but i've found that the peptides were much better quality than the free form version. i usually do high doses only during a cutting cycle to help with recovery, stress, etc. kinda old school but i can use everything i can when it comes to a cutting cycle, dieting, stress levels, recovery etc so i supplment with it. i used to use Beverly International but now a days i stick to my G-Tek from Thermolife. in my case it is quality over quantity that was effective.

During a cut or times of elevated stress, a high dose of glutamine may be beneficial, but during bulking, I cannot say they are useful.

Yea it's legit. It's what I use and i really like it. I've gone useing it and not useing it. I have better recovery when I use it and it seems to help me hold on to more muscle when Cutting. I use 5gr before breakfast, 10gr during my workout, 5gr after my workout and before bed if I can remember to dose it.

Last spring/summer 06' (12weeks) when I was cutting I dose 5gr 10-15min before each meal and 5gr during workout. I was in the best shape of my life and 15lbs heavier than the prior year. My diet/training were the same as the year before. All I changed was glutamine. I love glutamine though.

I stopped using it when I saw all the negative press here on AM.. Before that, I thought it was actually working. I've tried it again, & the recovery/feeling was better all around. As cheap as this stuff is, why not use it?

Anit-Glutamine people please consider this:

I have been around a more hardcore scene in bodybuilding. This is not to brag or say I know anything more than anyone. One thing you learn from the big boys is that when science fails to explain why something works, stop using science and do it anyway! Think about it 20 years ago science would tell you steroids didnt work. Don't get me wrong, I have been in MANY arguments with some bro-telligence types who will tell you things like Liquid Beef Aminos are greatest thing since GH lol. I am a logic guy as well but sometimes we simply do not know all the metabolic pathways and reasons why something may or may not work. For the price of Glutamine Peptides (if you look enough), I still think they are something worth trying so you can answer for yourself if it did anything for you. If it does nothing then you still spent less than the newest flavor of the month kitchen sink formula.

Bingo

I used to but glutamine peptides from Kilosports back in the day and I thought it was beneficial. Perhaps it was the simple addition of extra proteins, enzymes, or whatever. Maybe it simply had a placebo effect. I stopped using glutamine of any kind after reading extensively about the lack of efficacy. SOme guys still say they seem to benefit, though, so you are not alone!

get it for cheap.. pick it up in bulk

i believe NP's bulk is the free form of glutamine. read what we wrote above and maybe that can help you with your decision on whether to buy bulk or peptides. remember, you typically get what you pay for.

I'd go with NP's glutamine, i haven't used it personally but i trust their products completely. Also for glutamine dosing no one ever goes high enough, try in the 50g's a day range and then come back and say it doesn't work. I'm a big believer in Charles Poliquin's theories on training, nutrition and supplementation and he recommends both BCAA's and glutamine, that's good enough for me.

I concur. And he (Poliquin) isn't the only coach that suggests this that not only puts out quality athletes, but is in shape as well.

every month M&F comes out telling us which supps are the best for getting that cover model type body.. Glutamine is always right up there w/ whey & creatine..

Incorrect, please try again...

:toofunny:

I have been looking into Poliquin more and more. I think I may give some of his stuff a serious run sometime.

For me insane recovery came from 4 scoops Excell 8-10gr NP's glutamine and 2-3 scoops Poseidon. I had almost no muscle soreness and was adding subtle strength.

I upped my BCAA's since reading a Poliquin article, i now take in 30g's and sip on it before, during and after my workout and take in 50g's of glutamine the bulk of which is post-workout. So 30g's or so.
