Dang impressive on the deads man.
i have my ways. sometimes i do the same lift over 3 weeks as a wave. But when training heavier i change it every week for 3 weeks then repeat.

thanks for comments on deads...however i did 600x4x4x4 last time (sometime this spring) but i didn't do back work the night before however.

Great job pullin' and nice video. It looks like you have quite the setup at your place (at least I assume it's your place).

Went to see chiro today. My clavicle has been slipping out of place a bit and I think affecting my bench so i went in to get some work done. This is from the injury I sustained this spring when I Separated it from my chest. It’s a weird feeling when its out of location a little bit....just a weak unconfident feel when i go to bench.

Anyway did a little work to it. Not completely reseated yet. Says I have some scar tissue around the area…particularly in my chest which is pulling on it.

Also looks like my lymph nodes in my right tricep are swollen following the deep tissue massage. Guessing from the amount of toxins relased from breaking up those knots. I was wondering why all of a sudden I had this big ball under my skin on my tricep.

yep...but i don't really have time in my schedule right now to be getting out to get my adhesions adressed.

Don't know why i have so many....maybe the years of neglect and the Kabuki style abuse. i've only been trying to stay on top of this stuff the last 1-2 years.

BW upon waking 246.4 and 251 at training

Don’t know why weight is still going up…didn’t eat for 8 hours the day before which is a very rare deal for me.

    Speed Bench (160lbs in bands)
    Warmup then
    285x3x3x3x3x3x3x3x3 w/20 seconds rests
Bar was feeling more confident in my hands again! Much better than earlier in week.

Band Resisted Bench Setups – Pause at full contraction on chest for 3 count
    Warmup then
    #2+#3 bands x5x5x5
    Pr

    Pulldowns
    #1doubled+100x12
    #1doubled +150x10x10x10

    Lying Dumbell Extensions
    30x12
    45x12x12x12x12

    Side Laterals
    #1’s x12x12x12x12x12

Little bumps in weights, sets, and/or reps on everything tonight. Solid workout. Only bad thing was when doing my back work I could feel it pulling at my clavical. I think this is how its started to pull away again…with the adhesions in the chest its just to tight.

Cat was training with us all night….couldn’t help myself.

edit: and i'm also trying to get a sponsorship with an 'elite' organization and figured a more profesional title than what i had here wouldn't be a bad move.

Part of my current program layout is based on the meeting the needs of two of the people I train on a specific day of the week. It is just not working for me as it is negatively affecting my Deadlift training. It stops today and they will have to suffer not me.

BW upon waking 244.2 and 251 @ training

    Deadlift
    135x6x6
    235x3x3
    325x1x1
    415x1x1
    505x1
595x1 and so damn slow and heavy it was insane…it was slower than my raw 660 PR pull.
665x0 just didn’t pull it to lock dropped it when I got out of position
the metal king deadlifter was just to tight…I’ve put on 10lbs this last month

    Sumo Deadlift
    415x1
505x1 felt like I could only hit a couple reps and I’ve done it for 17 before!!!!
595x0 didn’t feel right so I dropped it before pulling to lock

    Pull thru’s
    #5 band x15x12x12

Wide Grip Shrugs w/ 1.5” fat trapbar
    340x16x16x16x16

certainly not uploading any of tonights vids.

what a **** workout. Switching around thurs and fri’ workouts starting next week to a trie and true method.

    EFS? really? Nice.

Why is "video" in quotations? They really are videos.. it's not like you filmed it with a 16mm Camera.

Bukka, I jacked my right arm up wrestling a guy at work and it's been out of commision for a week.

This last week off has been probably the most beneficial in my training career though. There is a truth to the "back off and grow" ideology, I'm just realizing it more than ever lately. Just mentioning it because I have a few adhesions in my forearm/brach that I need to get worked on.

Hey, I think I saw a Bodybuilding.com shirt in that video. Are you cheating on us?

Are the pause squats for explosiveness at the bottom?

    Insane numbers!

Yes. They really break up the concentric and eccentric phases of the lift and help with explosiveness. Supposed to also help Deadlift as your taking out the stretch reflex that you do not have when pulling. For the later reason I need to be doing more of these lately…my pull sucks right now.

I usually don’t go very heavy on these. 3 wheels works fine. 3 sets of 5 reps with a full 3 count (preferably someone else or the count goes to quick) at the bottom.

    Thanks for the compliment!

as for the shirt...i'm a free workout shirt junkie. Most of the BB.com shirts are now shop shirts but i've still got a hoard from when i used to order from them all the time.

    floor press vid?

Trained occasionaly in HS...but mostly sports. Occasionaly in College...but mostly drank.

Started training seriously at the end of 2000 and probably started powerlifting within a year of that time. Although i still trained like a BBer the first few years i competed.

i got into PL because there were a couple competive BBers in my gym and they were so much bigger than me...but i could walk all over them in regards to strenght...so i figured if i was going to compete i better head the route of strength sports as it seemed to be by how i am made.

had to do the plumbing on house this weekend. i mention it in my log because it involved spending a day climbing it attic and basement crawlspaces and closets using a chemical that causes (among other things) CNS depressant if you breath the fumes. and there was no getting around that with some of the places i had to work in.

We will see tommorrow how much of an effect it had.

Thanks GIP. that was a BIG box squat PR for me. Hell...i can't still half believe some of the weights i've been squating with lately. Coming up on 3 years since i started to train for a competitve squat (450-500 at that time).

No heavy weights handled today so i went for some volume. besides my note above i also i did not eat properly this weekend. tried a big dinner w/desert last night and heavy eating today but was still down 3lbs at training.

    BW upon training 247

    Floor Press w/chains
    50x6
    175x6
    200x6
    250x3
    290x3
    340x3
    380x3
    430x1
    480x2
same as last week but a little harder YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

    Raw Board presses
    5board
    415x3
    505x3
555x0x0 training partner couldn't get the weight out far enough to me so i just racked em
    4board
    465x3
    505x3
    3board
    465x3
    505x1
    2board
    415x5
    1board
    415x2
    no boards
    415x1

    Supra Pressdowns
    #1 doubled +75 x12
#1 doubled +100 x7....no go at this weight tonight
    #1 doubled +75 x12x12x12

Time to eat some dinner...do some more plumbing...and get some sleep in preperation for big squats tommorrow.

My arms are getting to be in real bad shape. going to have to do something drastic aly different to reverse this. i don't have the time to deal with this but i've got to figure it out.

Squats went well however even if my focus was all off and i wasn't 'feelin it'.

    BW upon waking 244.6

    Squats
    55x6
    155x6
    225x3
    315x3

    655x1
    700x1 wraps on
    785x1 suit on
    825x1

855 is insane. Is that a PR? I'm just going to stop posting my numbers on powerlifts because now I'm embarrassed.

If you do strongman, I can only imagine how good you'd at the yoke carry.
