Didn’t feel to hot today as I think the weekend of working in the hot humid shop took its toll. However the weights were still moving strong today despite how I felt.

BW upon waking 245.4

Floor Press (90lbs in chain)
50x12
140x6
200x5
270x5
350x5
420x5
450x4
+1 rep PR over last week. And no cheating again! Except for the rep I missed anyway.

Board Press w RageX (wetted down good due to age and multitude of runs)
3board
500x3
2board
550x1
570x3
not a clean lockout on the third but solid work for my 3rd week in a shirt in the last 1.5 years!

Extra Wide Bench
350x8
370x8

Supra Presdown (110lbs in bands)
105x12
160x10x10x10x10

very nice work on pressdowns for me tonight…first time stepping it up to 2 doubled over supermini bands at 50” of stretch. Very happy.

But…..on the very last rep of my pressdowns I looked to the side and my necked popped. Its tweaked pretty good right now. Icing it as we speak. Hope I can still squat 2 morrow. Will see in morning after getting some heet on it before bed.

Yeah they say no chalk, but I've seen a guy that works there deadlifting with chalk, so it's probably not a big deal. The towels (rags) work great for grip. Off to PM

Well, I kept my neck loose enough to squat tonight…but still have a sore throat (2 days now) and wife was on couch in pajamas sick when I made it home. Wasn’t feelin to hot either but that didn’t stop me.

First night going straps up with my new suit. Lot on my mind with new gear and partners that had never spotted that kind of weight before. I think I will make sure I schedule some experienced PL on next suit workout.

Due to not feeling well I cut it a short workout and didn’t complete workout…or even go heavy enough to hit depth with suit. Also need to extend the hooks on my monolift…with the extra weight causing bar to bend it wasn’t low enough

All in all crappy workout but I got a little bit of time in new suit so it wasn’t a total loss.

50x6
140x6x6
230x3
300x3
370x3
440x3 straps down
510x1 straps down belt on …nowhere near depth
600x1 straps up/belt
660x1 straps up/belt/wraps
700x1 straps up/belt/wraps
760x1 just a walkout.

All shallow, but the weights all felt easy.

Head wasn’t in game…
Body wasn’t in game….
Equals a workout that is Lame…

Later,
Kabuki

Went to bed early last night, which helped today. Took off from work early to run downtown to city office and get remodel plans approved. Went quick so I had time to work on some design features of rock buggy when I got home before training partners showed up to lift. All in all a very good day!

BW upon waking 247.2

Speed Bench (155lbs in bands)
Warmup then
260x3x3x3x3x3x3x3x3 w/ 20-30 seconds between sets

Overhead Lockouts (chain 13…high one)
140x12
230x12
280x12
330x12
370x12
410x10
I was going to take it easy here today and end at 330 but kept going up…damnit

Lying dumbbell tricep extensions
25x16
40x12
45x12x12x9

Front Raises
Minis x12x12x12

Nice easy workout… Deadlifting 2 morrow…so Excited!

A big fat 1/2lb + burger with two huge thick slices of bacon and some chedder cheese, alongside a plate of French fries. My choice to eat that today for lunch today stood in between me and my lifting goals for the evening. I knew I shouldn’t let my coworkers coerce me into going to the burger place today…but I wasn’t strong willed enough.

My plan for the evening was to test out me new squat suit and see how it worked for deadlifting, and also test out my new shrug bar. Neither really happened.

BW upon waking 247.6

Deadlift (belt only @ 410+)
140x6x6
230x3
320x3
410x2
500x1 double overhand
590x1
640x1

Tried suit on but every time I went down to bar I felt like the burger was going to come back out. And started not feelin so good after a few attempts. Couldn’t even get intro proper position for conventional but I the sumo should work well…just not tonight!

Band Resisted Bench setups w/3 second pause at chest
2 sets of #3 bands x5x5x5

Pulldowns
#2 bands x 9x12x12

Bent over lateral raises
30x12
50x12x12x12

Had to change up program over the plan I had written out. I was planning on doing a lift using bands but with the broken large band I had to nix that plan.

BW upon waking 246.6

Close Grip Bench
50x6x6
140x6x6
180x5
250x3
320x3
370x1
410x5
440x3
just missed locking out the fourth rep.

Board Presses with shirt (2board)
530x3
570x1
600xmissxmiss
realized afterwards i had the shirt put on incorrectly. was fighting shirt and weight. Weight felt good still???

Incline Bench (w/ 30lbs in bands)
310x8x8
Didn’t lock last rep

Supra Pressdowns
#2 band+50 x12
#2 bands+50 x12x10x8

I know partials are not impressive but no flicking me crap. I need to slowly get used to having heavy weight on shoulders again and do some squatting safely with a lack of spotters. So I did some partials suspended in chains. Nothing impressive…just playing around with weight and suit a little.

BW upon waking 246.4

Partial Squats
50x12
140x6x6
230x6
320x6
410x5 belt on
500x5
590x3
670x3
Suit on and dropped chain depth by another 3”
670x2
760x2
I added some bands as safety to hold plates on due to not trusting spring clamps…caused some bad harmonics on bar…but felt real easy…course it was as there was no depth :inger

Need a squat bar soon! And drive those damn knees out for Christ sake!

Suspended Good Mornings
140x6
230x6
320x6
410x12
look funny on video angle but were not sloppy at all.

Reverse Hyper
#2bands+25 x12
#2bands+50 x12x12x12
