Thanks for the heads up bolt. I actually checked sometime in the last couple days. This seems to keep happening right when I don't want to spend any money...I'll probably end up buying them anyway .

Thanks dude. If there's a similar machine at your gym, I'd definitely give them a try.

Definitely man! Ours is more upright, But I think it will sill give that angle directly over the shoulders/ slightly behind. Definitely going to try it!

  9. Gut Health and Giant Sports PB Chocolate were waiting for me when I got back from the gym, and I'm very excited about it.

The old Gut Health was a staple for me, which I found very beneficial. I had severe GI issues in the past, so optimizing my "gut health" is extremely important to me.

The PB Chocolate protein smells amazing, and I'll be trying it when I break my fast.

I have a couple workout updates that I'll post sometime today.

  12. Had the vanilla and the cookies and cream. Very smooth, easy to mix, delicious! Their other flavors are on my radar.

Those are the two flavors that I've had as well. PB Choc was just released a few weeks ago.

It really couldn't have worked out any better. Yeah, John Meadows has inspired me to up the creativity of my workouts haha. It's an Icarian machine, and if you have one, I'd definitely give them a shot. The entire movement feels great, especially the squeeze at the top.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that ours is an Icarian, but I never touch the thing so I haven't even looked at it in a while. One the list for shoulder training today are these and horizontal presses...

That was actually the first time I'd ever used it lol. I'm not a fan of shoulder pressing machines in general...until now . Awesome, look forward to hearing what you think.

  20. 3/29/13 yesterday

I started VERSA-1 and C20 in the morning.

V-1, C20, OEP, X-Factor, Agmatine 500, ALCAR, and GlycerGrow make up my new pre-workout arsenal...

My back workout was great and I'm feeling it today.

    Meadows Rows
    1 warm-up x12
    90x12
    115x10
    125x8

HS Iso Row (big stretch/2sec squeeze)
    180x15
    230x8
    230x8
    230x8

    DB Pullovers (MD style)
    55x12
    65x8
    65x8
    65x8

-My first time trying this approach and loved it. I took the stretch very deep and it smoked my lats.

    Example

    Pull-ups (2sec hold/3sec negative)
    12
    8
    8

-I don't think I've used this approach or done them this far into a workout...it was tough.

    Reeves Deads

Starnes variation (same as last week)
    95x10
    95x10

Meadows variation (EZ bar w/shrug at top of movement)
    180x10
    230x10
    230x10

-weight of bar not included on Meadows variation

-killer combo to end the workout

-Let me know if anyone wants to see an example of either variation.

  21. 3/30/13

I was very happy with this morning’s chest session. I added more fat bar work for some variety. The VERSA-1/OEP combo was awesome and had me highly focused, full of energy, and sweating like crazy.

Hex Press (45lb plate for slight incline)
    65x15
    70x12
    80x8

Fat BB Incline (bar weight not included)
    1 warm-up x12
    110x8
    140x8
    140x8
    140x8

Fat BB rest-pause Decline (3sec hold above chest/45lb plates (2) for decline/bar weight not included)
    90x8
    90x8
    140x6
    140x6

Cable Chest Press (“free motion” machine)
    15
    10
    10

    -don’t know weight used

Ladder Pushups (starting with stretch pushups)
    20, 8, 8
    15, 7, 6
    14, 6, 5

-Stretch pushups: feet on 1’ box while holding dumbbells for added depth/stretch

-Loved the addition of stretch pushups at the beginning of each set.

Thanks bean. I had always trained primarily for strength until starting Mtn. Dog a few months ago. I'm nowhere near as strong as I'd like to be though.

Look forward to hearing what you think of VERSA-1. I'm already on my 4th bottle lol...love the stuff.

    Thanks again

Cool. I think you'll like it man.

This was a part of today's massive fast-breaking meal (entire meal was ~2400 calories).

It was awesome. I don't have the exact recipe (didn't make it), but it's similar to the one found at the below link. I know that the peppers were swapped for onions, uncured turkey bacon was used instead of ham, and the English muffins were Ezekiel.

    No gym today.

I weighed 214.6lbs (-2.4lbs overall) this morning and am looking a little leaner.

Vascularity has started to improve since starting VERSA-1 and C20.

Looks delicious. Vascularity is awesome on my end of things as well. I'm around 7 weeks in with VERSA-1™. Compound 20 would only add to that...
