This is a continuation of what I started a few weeks ago. I intend on continuing this to keep myself motivated in order to attain my goals. Goals=As fit as I can be by September. I'm not altogether sure exactly what that means yet, but I have a good idea. Enduring strength and stamina are what I am seeking. I want to be able to move decent weight for extended periods of time, and be able to run a 6.5 minute mile indefinitely. A little background on me... I was in great shape at one point, and then I got put behind a desk. I lost my motivation and I started eating Cheetos. In the beginning of February snagencyV2.0 picked me to log PX Black, so I did. I made great progress, as far as I'm concerned, and I want to continue to progress. During my run of PXB I also began TRT (about 3 weeks into my log). I'm on a very low dose but it seems to be helping with overall daily activities. My current stats are 5'9" and 187lbs. Bf% between 15-18%. I don't know 1RMs and I don't care to know them right now since I don't plan on being a power lifter. If I were to guess I'd say high 200s for bench, mid 300, low 400 for deads and squats. I will find true numbers in the next two weeks and go from there. I'm open to training programs that focus primarily on my stated goals. I will be using, for the next four weeks, a program that paid dividends for me in the past but after that I'm not sure. For those of you who choose to follow, thanks for the help and support.
Current supps:
6g fish oil daily
Modern BCAA
ON hydro builder
Jack3d/Jack3d micro (rotating)
Versa-1
TRT

I'm only two shots in and I notice a difference already. Mostly on the mental side. My mood is better, my focus is better and I sleep differently. Aesthetically things are looking up too, but minor in comparison to the feeling so far. I remain hopeful.

No nudez?
They're coming. Gotta convince the wife that I need them for future use.

And thanks to both of you for joining.

Thanks. They're one of my favorite exercises.

On an unrelated note, tuition assistance was reinstated after being gone for a couple of days. That's a good thing.
I just made a shake to hold me over until dinner. I bought isopure for the first time this morning. Banana flavored. That shlt is horrible. I added a scoop of muscle milk to it to mask the taste, so altogether it was right around 70g protein but it tasted like I imagine rotten ass tasting. Never buying that again.
Dinner will be chicken breast pan fried in coconut oil, broccoli and 30 pistachios.

So the rest of today went pretty well. Normally on weekends I let my diet be a little more loose. I think I'm going to change that from now on and just stick to eating right every day.

Lunch 1 was a salad with chicken breast and assorted other veggies and tomatoes.

Lunch 2 was a rainbow roll from the sushi place

Dinner I made fajitas with beef, red and green peppers, onion, some seasoning and whole grain tortillas.

Don't know macros or calories for the day but I didn't do too bad.

Shoulders tomorrow.

Subbed.

I have similar-ish stats as you, +1 inch, and about 10 lbs, and was also very fit at one time, until I left the Army, got married, and had a kid all about the same time. Let myself get up to prob. 18-20ish percent (from 7-8) over a couple years time, but I am back down to 12ish now and working back to towards those single digits.

Also working back to that 6-6.5 min. pace sustainable for at least 2-3 miles, (preferably indefinitely though) as my plans are to rejoin soon and be at SFAS by Oct/Nov. Working in plenty of ruck/weighted vest runs in the mean time also.

So def. in on this one to follow someone who is already an operator on a similar journey of reclaiming the former glory of being the PT Beast that I bet you once were.

If only you were in Houston...I wish I could find a good training partner here with similar training goals, because I always push myself harder when I am constantly trying to beat someone else....*shrug*, I'll just keep up with your logs and if it looks like you're doing more work than me, I'll get pissed at myself and push harder. ;-)

As for training to possibly consider: one thing I am doing right now that is giving me great results is a modified version of GVT on Leg day. Though, I superset back squats -> front squats -> leg press, for many sets, which each set never fails to get my heart rate pumping hard and fast, soak my shirt like I just did Cardio, and give me Doms for 48-72 hrs. (Though the Doms is finally starting to mild out). After 7-8 of those supersets in the 8-12 rep range each exercise, (so sets of 30 reps. on avg.). I finish up with 4-5 sets of 15-25 rep leg extensions and curls, and 3-4 variations of calf raises until I am basically limping out the door.

I have been making sure Leg and back days are on point as my primary focuses, other than runnig (figure strong base and core for throwing that ruck around everywhere).

I do the hip flexor machines to help my run time too, (laugh if you want, it helps).

Lastly, I don't know if you've ever run EC, but personally I had great results with it really burning my extra flab up for me (literally burn, as it significantly raised my core temp....cheap, effective preworkout too).

Anyways, best of luck.

I put hot sauce on most everything bud. The meal determines the flavor, whether it be cholula, tapatio, Valentina's, franks, or just plain salsa. I'm originally from Cali, I'd guess that's where my addiction stems from.

Got to the gym a little later than planned this morning. Got some exercise before I left the house though. Funny how you get more attention when you get less fat.
Anyway, shoulders and abs today.
Didn't write my workout down, just wanted to get in and out without thinking about it because I saw some pretty creepy shlt in the gym.
Bought this stuff today. It's pretty good.

No avocado this morning. I'm disappointed.

Tried a new flavor of modern BCAAs, watermelon. Damn, that shlt is great! I would drink that all day if I could.

LeeDurr, good luck getting back in. Hopefully you fall into the category of those who can rejoin. It's hard right now, under current business rules so I'd start talking to a recruiter as it's only going to get harder.
I haven't run EC and I won't. I don't think I need ephedra in my diet. I used Finaflex's PX Black and it treated me very well, as did FF's reps and if I start to stall on the fat loss, I'll go right back to PXB.
I've done the GVT thing and will reincorporate it into my fitness plan toward June, I think.
I'll start rucking and distance running around mid-July. Right now I can sustain 6minute pace for 4 miles, looking to get to the 15 mile point before I'm happy. Have a half marathon in June so it's something to shoot for.

The watermelon MBCAA+ is amazing! I burned through my tub a lot faster than I would've like. I using the blue razz now and think it's great as well.

Thats some da_n good cardio: 6 min pace for 15 mile. I remember when I was in, I did 11:40 for my 2 mile and could run forever, but I was a.scrawny little teenager then. 2 years later I was up 20 lbs, and bustin it to stay in the 12:30 range on my 2 mile, and truth be told I still wasn't anything special then (although I sure thought I was since my Push-ups/Sit-ups always put my APFT score as highest in every Unit I was ever in, even at West Point, I was ranked 1st in my year physically (before leaving)....really though it was mostly just muscle memory and technique (starting with Tricep pushups and moving to pecs. When they fatigued).

Now I am about 20-25 lbs even more heavy though, which was partly flab at first, but I've traded most of it in for lean mass now. Still working on getting that cardio back up though, since in SFAS they still grade you on the 17-21 scale no matter how old you are, and I am never satisfied unless I at least exceed the max score....so 13 min. 2 mile (when fatigued not fresh) is my minimum standard. Of course since you said you can do 4 mile at a 6 min. Pace already, youve just bumped up one of my short term.goals ;-p

And yeah, I know getting back in is harder right now (especially into The Regiment), but I have a semi-unique background and solid foundation. I've already talked specifically to a SF recruiter to check feasibility, see if they'd even want me and layed out a game-plan.

Ultimately though, I don't care how hard it is, its where I belong, and I'll get there one way or another. Even if took years and maybe a change of identity or 2. (just kidding on the last part of course....maybe). ;-)
