There is a lot of pushing and pulling during a wrestling match too. Froma take down set up and controlling a clinch to virtually every offensive move, a strong bicep contraction is beneficial. Defensively you would be correct. But if your biceps are strong enough, leave defense to the compound only guy.

Wrestling!?!?!?! What about ARM wrestling? That is a sport, right? I think those guys have "some" bicep strength, but not sure.

those pics make me think that I would want EXPLOSIVE leg/hip strength and major triceps for pushing away. So in this case Cel IS correct, I am def not pulling Sundusky towards me, no bicep work needed here.

lol I made a statement, I was right in the argument I made and it was agreed upon by Jim thanks to Rodja's input. Now it was just a matter of time for some of the usual people to go and check my personal opinion (prior to my argument) and make all the big fuss they enjoy doing...

In the end they are not going to stop, so I wouldn't know what to tell you...any post I do there will be someone of that group of people checking it and perusing it...Idk what to do about it anymore :/

Anyhow, I wish Rodja or Jason would chime in to tell us what helps out more in rows...IMO Brachii and Brachialis have less importance than anything in those movements and it is the Brachioradialis which will bring the contribution to the lift, being the back the main muscle group being worked.

Bicep strength does take a big toll! The more Bicep strength I have the better I do deads or a few other exercises that help my deadlift! So yea bicep strength as well as every other muscle group is crucial to PL!

I guess after only gaining half a pound after a year long all out bulk you can officially call yourself a power lifter and not care about biceps. To each his own I guess. After failing for a year straight to gain any credible mass why not settle for 140 pounds of straight average. (hypothetical)

I've started putting del taco hot sauce in my morning tuna. It really livens it up a little. I'll go in, buy one burrito and grab enough sauce for 70.

off to the gym to work on shoulders, but NOT like the guy I saw doing front DB raises with an 80lb DB. It was RIDICULOUS! He's my size: 5-7, 175 lbs, no way he can PROPERLY raise an 80lb db

Maybe I can get a video, maybe it's the same guy from the 160lb curl video

This thread has at least been entertaining..I learned about the biceps, had a dance party, and learned about Napalms preference for hot sauce. Kudos
