Helluva workout, Volcom ! Loving the tri-set routine you're incorporating; anything to up the intensity huh ?!

Real happy the White Flood is working for ya, and I did tell ya it was above the ordinary ... didn't I ?! lol. The GABA/Beta Alanine gives me the parathesia every time, but that only helps boost my pre-workout focus and energy. I feel a warming sensation every time within 10-12 minutes of Consusmption. Love it !

There is no beta-alanine "flush" in the sense of the skin turning red (as with niacin). With beta-alanine, there is a tingling (called paraethesia) or itching of the skin. This is not an allergic reaction. It is a normal body reaction to the consumption of beta alanine, once the compound has been absorbed into the blood stream. The precise mechanism here is not fully known. However, there are two theories.
1) The tingling is initiated by beta alanine binding to nerve receptors. These nerve receptors are excited, making them fire off at random. The situation of many of these nerve cells just below the surface of the skin creates a prickling, pins-and-needles, sensation at certain spots on the skin. 2) As a nitric-oxide potentiator (not generator), beta Alanine magnifies the action of nitric oxide, making its effects stronger and longer-lasting. Consequently, after the consumption of beta alanine, when the body produces nitric oxide, its effects will be amplified, making us feel the extra blood flowing through the capillaries close to the surface of the skin.

The intensity of the tingling is dose-dependent and ceases after serum beta-alanine levels are saturated.

Neither the niacin flush nor the beta-alanine tingling sensation should be a cause for worry.

Great log, so far, bud!
I LOVE the tingles I get them with Incarnate when I dose it without carbs, but as I understand it absorbs better with carbs, so most of the time I don't feel the paraethesia, even though I find it pleasant.

Volcom, quality log brother, really interested in hearing how this goes for you, after reading Norway's experiences with it I have high hopes.

Great log so far. I also get the tingles, but don't mind them as long as I'm hitting the weights. I knew you'd like the WF

Again, I'm "ULTRA" sensitive to the parasthesis or parasthesia, so it may not even register on some of you who have a high tolerance for it. Apart from this little tid bit, three letters, WOW. I'm loving the experience so far.
This my not apply to you but White Flood contains sucralose(splenda). Splenda causes rashes and itchy skin to people who are allergic to it.

True . . . . but in this case - with both Beta Alanine and GABA - the tingling-effect is known as parathesia. Most first-timers (and many who incorporate B.A. as a staple in their arsenal) will experience it. I personally love it. Literally, you'll be feeling the effects come on. What else could you ask for in a supplement ?!

Tonight was good, but not over-the-top excellent. It was not a result of a lack of supplement effect or motivation or anything like that. I worked out with my little brother today, so I kept the workout routine quite traditional. No extensive super-sets or excessive drop-sets. Just old fashioned 3-4 set pyramids. It was suppose to be super Tuesday, Chest & Back, but since my little bro was with me today, I didn't push it too, too hard. Baptism by fire is a great method for already established bodybuilding enthusiasts, but for someone who doesn't workout often, it just becomes a miserable and unappreciated experience if you over do it (which I love to do).

Close Grip Pull Downs

225lbs x 10 reps
240lbs x 8 reps

I'll have to update the details at a later time. I'm on my way out. Again, my intensity was GREAT, little, little rest between sets & exercises and I was drenched the entire time.

I was surprised myself. I probably wouldn't have used this kind of weight today, but some big guy offered to let me work in with him and he was already using the 100lbs Db's, so I didn't even warm up, I just jumped right in and started on 100lbs Db's. As he moved up in weight, I said, phucket. I actually pressed out more reps then he did (which was cool cause he was "larger" then I was by at least 60lbs; a lot of fat, but still).

I always smirked at the idea that NO supps could effect strength, because I can't wrap my mind around any true "acute strength" benefits from vasodilation. Endurance yes, increased recovery, more effective blood delivery, yes, yes, yes, but acute strength boosts... not so sure. However, my strength was above & beyond what I've been pushing lately, so I conspicuously raise my eye brow.

Intensity was great. My recovery from set to set and exercise to exercise was amazing. I don't feel Stimed out my brain in a restless manner, but like I've previously mentioned, a steady state energy, at a strong, but very day to day tolerable level. Which was not what I was expecting.

I had an insane workout planned for my partner Zack and I, but not for my little bro. Next time, my epic Chest/Back is to come. I get excited about these kind of things.

I appreciate everyones input on my parasthesia situation. I'm aware of its effects. I've supplemented with Beta Alanine before (and gave the entire kilo away to Norwegian because I was ULTRA, ULTRA, miserably sensitive to the parathesia). The parasthesia I get from White Flood isn't so bad. Once I start working out and the blood starts moving it calms it.
