    Really excited to see how this stack and protocol of the 5/3/1 go together. I've seen RPM/Drive orchestrate nicely with 5/3/1 and would imagine this to do well.

    I'm doing the WS4SB template. Although I would prefer if you didn't bring up drive in this thread, it's a tender topic with me, because I wanted to get some but was not in the financial status to get it when I started this....and I do so much better when I use it before runs. :sadpanda:

    Yesterday's GPP

    Power Clean: 1 x 3 x 155lbs
    (Only one set, spent a good deal of time teaching my wife and buddy proper technique)

    Prowler Sprints: 3 x 40yds x 90lbs (1/2 BW)

    Rope Pulls: 3 x 20yds x 90lbs (1/2BW)

    Medicine Ball Slams: 3 x 15 x 25lbs

    Sprints: 4 x 40yds

    Shuttle: 1 x 60yds

    All of the sprints were races between the 3 of us, my wife and friend has head starts to make it as fair as possible but.....

    Also I have noticed that I am getting more acne on my chest and arms, I noticed it yesterday.

    So either

    A.) Side effect of Free Test working

    or

    B.) I need to wash myself better.


    I'm hoping for option A.

    If it is from Free Test it's mild and subsides in a relatively short time. I occasionally see a couple spots on my rear delts then it goes away. But I take it to be a good sign!

    I would definitely say that is from the FREETEST. Actually, that is a pretty common thing to happen. I had the same issue and many others I know who used it had it happen to. No big deal Jim

    As you guys can see the BP just wasn't there for me today. I was insanely focused today but for some reason the strength just wasn't there like it was last week. My only guess to this is that our ~4 mile run this morning took a lot more out of me than I had assumed. I'm not really that worried about the weight, ME is all about effort and there was nothing left when I was done with any of these exercises. The face pulls were monsters and my back looked SWOLLEN after the superset. My chest was nice and pumped just from the few sets of bench today and my arms felt like they were literally about to explode before even getting past the 2nd superset. I found myself using my rest between sets to try to work a little bit of blood out of the bicep so that I could get a good contraction.

    I've been sleeping well, I generally get ~7 a night. I would like more but getting to work at 0545 and not leaving until 1700 to go home and eat before hitting the gym just doesn't leave me as much time as I would like! For what it's worth I am waking up refreshed most mornings, but I've been doing it so long I can't remember the last time I was really draggin' @ss in the mornings.

    My diet for today:
    3416 kCal.
    146g Fat
    300g Carbs (a little low)
    226g Protein

    I'm a couple hundred under where I would have liked to be but it's not the end of the world. Just gonna have to make sure to eat up tomorrow!

    DE Lower Body tomorrow. Hoping that I don't get kicked out of the room so I can actually do some step ups tomorrow!

    I hadn't. I believe it was wendler who talked about people asking if they could mix the two programs and he said to do one or the other. Its a tnation article I believe, I'll see if I can't link it up.

    Good workout today Jim. I wouldn't worry about coming up a little short on the bench. Running 4 miles in the AM will definitely take it out of you.

    Use to be into dead lifts like crazy back a few months ago.
    I still believe in compound movements but now I'm trying to find more fun unique ways to train. There is never a 1 size fits all.

    Back day for me...honestly I get geeked to do a back workout especially when doing deads as part of the workout. Even when I am a fat a$$ I still look jacked from the pump I get from doing a back workout. I don't know what it is, but man there is nothing like a great back workout...I was always get that primal rage/predator feeling when doing back and if there is one workout where bothering me is risking life and limb that would be my back workout....lol.

    Jump update: For those of you that haven't done it I will give a brief description of what I see and feel after manifest for a jump, here goes.

    We manifest and load up the buses to head to green ramp. After sitting their for an hour or so we go do our sustained airborne training to make sure we can PLF (parachute landing fall) and other basics. One hour later we rig up into our parachutes, they are uncomfortable and squeeze the traps and balls even when put on perfectly. 2+ hours of sitting in our chutes, some sleep and some talk, we load the bird. Its a C130 this time, heavy and unstable, they rock even with no wind. 30 minutes of sitting and we take off, the cabin is not pressurized and we fly for 40 minutes in a big circle waiting for the order to jump. First chalk goes, we see them exit the door and no nothing about what happened to them afterwards. We stand up and connect our static lines and wait for green light, on the command "green light, go" the first jumper leaps from the door. We all follow behind, this time I am the last jumper. I leap out the door and am met by the cold North Carolina wind, its a night jump but I can still see that my canopy is complete. I am falling faster than expected and as I pull my risers to prepare to land I slow down significantly, just as I was trained. 20-50 feet from the ground the wind changes direction and throws me the opposite way, its too late to change now and I squeeze my feet and knees together and brace for impact. Feet hit, I am thrown to the ground like a ragdoll, my head violently smacks the ground and the end result?

    And yes, that is dry blood along with my head hitting.so hard my nose bled.

    Got two updates coming tonight:

    Yesterday- 07NOV2012 DE Lower Body

    I couldn't do the box jumps or step ups because they were using all of the boxes yesterday I was also trying to take it easy because my neck was pretty sore from a mild case of whiplash and I didn't want to exacerbate by putting too much strain on it.

    Vertical Leaps: 3x5-8
    45x8, 95x8, 135x6

    BB Lunge w/ Front Foot elevated: 2-3x8-10
    95x8, 115x8

    Pull Throughs: 2-3x8-12
    120x10, 140x8

    And that's where I stopped it. I was supposed to do the Hanging Leg Raises but decided against it based on the way my neck was feeling.
