hell yeah! i love deadlift day. thats always my favorite
Use to be into dead lifts like crazy back a few months ago.
I still believe in compound movements but now I'm trying to find more fun unique ways to train. There is never a 1 size fits all.

Thanks brother. ME upper is easily my favorite day of the week!
Back day for me...honestly I get geeked to do a back workout especially when doing deads as part of the workout. Even when I am a fat a$$ I still look jacked from the pump I get from doing a back workout. I don't know what it is, but man there is nothing like a great back workout...I was always get that primal rage/predator feeling when doing back and if there is one workout where bothering me is risking life and limb that would be my back workout....lol. :D

Cheers Jim!

Jump update: For those of you that haven't done it I will give a brief description of what I see and feel after manifest for a jump, here goes.

We manifest and load up the buses to head to green ramp. After sitting their for an hour or so we go do our sustained airborne training to make sure we can PLF (parachute landing fall) and other basics. One hour later we rig up into our parachutes, they are uncomfortable and squeeze the traps and balls even when put on perfectly. 2+ hours of sitting in our chutes, some sleep and some talk, we load the bird. Its a C130 this time, heavy and unstable, they rock even with no wind. 30 minutes of sitting and we take off, the cabin is not pressurized and we fly for 40 minutes in a big circle waiting for the order to jump. First chalk goes, we see them exit the door and no nothing about what happened to them afterwards. We stand up and connect our static lines and wait for green light, on the command "green light, go" the first jumper leaps from the door. We all follow behind, this time I am the last jumper. I leap out the door and am met by the cold North Carolina wind, its a night jump but I can still see that my canopy is complete. I am falling faster than expected and as I pull my risers to prepare to land I slow down significantly, just as I was trained. 20-50 feet from the ground the wind changes direction and throws me the opposite way, its too late to change now and I squeeze my feet and knees together and brace for impact. Feet hit, I am thrown to the ground like a ragdoll, my head violently smacks the ground and the end result?

Got two updates coming tonight:

Yesterday- 07NOV2012 DE Lower Body

I couldn't do the box jumps or step ups because they were using all of the boxes yesterday  I was also trying to take it easy because my neck was pretty sore from a mild case of whiplash and I didn't want to exacerbate by putting too much strain on it.

Vertical Leaps: 3x5-8
45x8, 95x8, 135x6

BB Lunge w/ Front Foot elevated: 2-3x8-10
95x8, 115x8

Pull Throughs: 2-3x8-12
120x10, 140x8

And that's where I stopped it. I was supposed to do the Hanging Leg Raises but decided against it based on the way my neck was feeling.

Today I felt a little better. My neck is mildly sore today but it wasn't causing any problems.

08NOV2012 RE Upper

DB Floor Press: 3xMAX (15-20)
50x15, 55x15, 65x13 (PR 65x12)

a1. Chin-ups: 3x8-12
BWx10, BWx8, BWx7.5
a2. Face Pulls: 3x8-12
80x12, 100x12, 120x9

b1. DB Shrugs: 3x8-10
65x10, 75x10, 90x7 (grip failed)
b2. 1 Arm DB Tricep Ext: 3x10-15
20x15, 20x15, 25x10 (1 assisted on the left arm)

Extra: Incline Hammer Strength Chest Press: 3x8-10
100x10, 100x9, 100x8

For this workout I used 1 scoop of PNI Prodigy with the 5 caps of Uptake. The pump was strong, the focus was good and I just felt good in general. The Prodigy is not the best tasting, I had watermelon, and I didn't intend to use it because it has it's own pump blend but it was just sitting on my counter staring at me and I told my buddy he could try it before he decided to buy one. You'll notice that I did extra on this workout, I had tons of energy and me and my partner both felt really good so we decided to do more. I really like that exercise for building the MMC with the Pecs, my friend had never done it and he also really enjoyed them! I was going to take some pump pictures for this but didn' twant to be "that guy" in the gym so no pump pron for you Celly! (You must be so dissapointed) End of the week weigh-in tomorrow morning, we'll find out if I have to up my calories again tomorrow!

120g Fat (+0)
450g Carb (+30)
230g Pro (+20)

10NOV2012 ME Lower Body

Trap Bar Deadlift: 3-5RM
145x5, 185x5, 205x5, 225x5, 275x5, 295x5, 315x5 (S), 345x5 (S) (PR 335x5)

Lunges: 3x6-12
135x6, 135x6, 185x6

Pull-Throughs: 3x8-12
120x12, 140x12, 150x12

Ab Circuit: 2xCircuit
Sprinter Sit-up: BWx15, 15
Russian Twist: BWx15, 15
Oblique Crunch: BWx10, 10

Set a new TBar DL PR. My hammies were done after just the DL and I almost fell walking to the power rack for the lunges lol.

A few notes on Uptake: This is the only supp out of these three that I notice a particularly acute effect. It is definitely something that builds over time though and now every time I run my calves get a RIDICULOUS pump, by the end of my run it's painful to walk they are so pumped. (which is kinda cool tbh)

My strength is coming along nicely (as you all can see) and even though I'm not eating enough I don't feel as if I'm having issues recovering. This is something that I attribute to these products and I feel great, never really rundown and no more tired than normal. Just hate getting up early lol! I'm sleeping well, had a crazy dream last night, very vivid, but for some reason I can't remember what it was about (I normally can)

Nothing else to report really, besides how ridiculous it is that I actually require MORE food. Ridiculous.

12NOV2012 ME Upper

Bench: 3-5RM
95x5, 105x5, 115x5, 135x5, 165x5, 185x5, 205x1 (DAMN IT!)

Chins: 2x MAX
BWX10, BWx10

a1. Cable Rows: 3x8-12
120x10, 120x10, 140x10
a2. Face Pulls: 3x8-12
110x10, 110x10, 120x7

BB Shrugs: 3x8-15
185x12, 225x12, 225x12

13NOV2012 : Rest. I was feeling really run down and it was a longer day than usual at work so I opted to plug a recovery day seeing as I only got 1 hour of sleep Monday night before work.

14NOV2012 DE Lower

Vertical Jumps: 5-8x1-3
95x3, 115x3, 135x3, 155x3

Bulgarian Split Squat: 2-3x 8-10
30sx8, 30sx8

Romanian DL: 3x8-12
95x8, 135x8, 185x8

A note on this week, this will be my last week with this set of exercises and some of them will be alternated out next week. Particularly on Bench as I have stalled and will either switch to an Incline variation or I will add chains (haven't decided on which although I am leaning towards chains).

My DE day has changed focus to make it more "dynamic." What I was doing previously, because I'm dumb :joke:, was basically two max effort lower body days with different exercises. What I made a point of today was lowering the weight slowly and exploding up out of the bottom of the movement, which is what I should have been doing at the start.

I did it the way I saw some of the guys in ABs thread (or LTL) say. With milk, protein, and pb. It was just weird.

I may try it with just chicken broth, as a soup or something along those lines.

GREAT WORKOUT TODAY!

The only change to today's preworkout was that I had 50g of Karbolyn not long before the Uptake and my PWO of choice today was a sample of ON's PRE that I had lying around (tastes good, works OK but nothing spectacular)

15NOV2012 RE Upper

DB Floor Press: 3x MAX (10-15)
55x15, 60x14, 70x11 (PR 65x13)

a1. Scarecrows: 3-4x8-12
30x10, 40x9, 50x7, 50x6 (these are great but I need to figure out a better way to hold the cables! My hands are all f'ed up now! Weight is per arm)
a2. Chin-ups: 3-4x8-12
BWx8x3, BWx9

b1. DB Shrugs: 3x8-10
70x10, 85x10, 95x10 (No straps PR. 90x8 'I think' Trying to force my grip strength to improve, forced adaptation is the best kind lol)
b2. DB Tri Ext: 3x10-15
20x13, 20x12, 25x10 (SMOKED!)

An interesting note for today is that after the workout I felt hypoglycemic, I have no explanation for this and my intake as of now has been good. Prepping dinner now but still feeling that way, even after eating a little something in walmart.

Also a few notes on Free Test:
The Acne has subsided on my chest but I have begun breaking out on my back more than usual. Not really a problem but is definitely noticeable.
My recovery is still good, I attribute some of this to Free Test but mostly the retarded amount of calories I'm consuming (for me at least)
Strength is consistently up, I am surprised that I can consistently hit PR's almost every week! (except on BB Bench for some reason :dunno: )
My wife says I am a little more on edge, I don't think this is the case (I already have a short fuse just good self control) but more that she likes to have something to blame when I get mad (Not screaming or beating her mad just frustrated with work and things of that nature)

NO Uptake:
So far I don't have enough good to say about this product. It works extremely well when combined with the other products in this stack. The pumps are awesome and don't seem to be as carb reliant as other products I have used before. Endurance is definitely there but sometimes I get ridiculous calf pumps when running, which is cool but kinda painful at times lol.

IGF-2:
I believe this has a hand in my recovery and strength. A little on the expensive side but I believe it to be very efficient from what I have seen of it so far. If you haven't tried this I would recommend giving it a shot at least once, from my experience about halfway through I will very likely use this again.

Also my vascularity and definition seems to be improving, I will be posting progress pictures at the end of the first bottles of each product leading into the second (halfway point). It feels good to wear XL shirts  (except for the USPLabs ones, those things are ENORMOUS!) especially when they ride up at the sleeves when I get a pump from any exercise!

17NOV2012 ME Lower

T-Bar Deadlift: 3-5RM
45x5, 95x5, 135x5, 185x5, 205x5, 225x1

Lunges: 3x6-12
65x6, 95x6, 135x5

Pull Throughs: 3x8-12
60x8, 70x8, 90x8

Ground Based AB circuit: 2 rotations
Sprinter Sit-Upx15x2
Russian Twistx15x2
Oblique Crunchx10x2

Today I paired the Uptake with ErgoPump. They sent it out to me today (which was awesome because I was just expecting a t-shirt). ErgoPump tastes alright (not a big fan of Fruit Punch) and the kick in the butt was there but it was hard to find motivation, especially after starting today. My hamstring didn't hurt this morning, when doing regular things, but anytime I squat down it screams at me and forceful contractions (every exercise today) were TERRIBLE. I was going to try to push it with the Deadlift to see how high I could go up without feeling like I was going to tear it but it even hurt with the 45lb bar.

Took it easy with all of the exercises today for those reasons. Will be out and about all weekend so diet is all out of whack (tons of GRF prep crap)

Also received a package from the guys over at finaflex today, they sent me a few armbands (my wife is sporting the pink), creatrona, and a kicka$$ freak t-shirt! (Hints at next log perhaps :dunno: )

Also the hypoglycemic sensation from yesterday did not occur again today. This could have been from the ON Pre that I tried yesterday or just from the intensity of the workout.

Oh and on a final note, I did notice today that I was sweating a good deal more, even before starting the workout I could feel my body temp rising. Not sure if this is from ErgoPump alone, or if it was a reaction from Uptake and ErgoPump together. I've noticed this a few times during this run, but not to this degree or to a level worth mentioning.

Multiquote is broken:
AB- Yeah, unfortunately today was not much of a fight!

It does happen to me from time to time as I run low fasting blood glucose as is. Could be a salt issue as well, people can confuse the two easily.
