I know what you mean. I always intend on going in for volume days but they always turn into a heavy day lol I just like to lift heavy

I'm the same way I like the 4-6 range but I'm pushing for 12-16 right now. So I'm not going as heavy and I don't like it! But I think its what I need to to do for now to get to my goal weight. Extra cardio extra reps.

Plenty of time for strength training when you get to that target brodamizer!

Try this for a Low/High compromise R3: Load the bar with that 4-6 weight. Do your first set, rest 1 minute,do another set to failure with that weight and quickly drop the weight to 70% of that and rep to failure, quickly drop it one more time and go to failure. Best of both worlds by getting the strength and high rep benefits!

Not too much has changed on the scale in a while. I think I've finally got a diet menu I can live with. I got burned out on what I was eating the first few months when I dropped the majority of the weight. The extra hours at work didn't help either. Things are back to normal again and I am pushing myself to the limit with cardio and reps. I want to see what results I can get this month burning about 900 calories on cardio daily and focusing on reps over strength.

I do this with a lot of db lifts. I refer to it as running the rack. Amazing pump benefits and also builds strength and tightens you up.

Thanks greybush I think that would suit me well! I got 385 on shrugs for 14 for 3sets on shrugs today. Not getting 455 up a few times left me totally disappointed.

So I liked AZ's recommendation and applied it today. I limited myself to a few less exercises for a trial run.

    Bicep and Back

    Elliptical: 60 minutes 917 calories

    Preacher curl: 90x6 70x12 50x17

    Cable curl: 160x6 100x14 80x19

    Reverse grip: 70x12 60x12

    DB hammer: 50x6 35x12 25x14

    Lat pull down: 180x6 120x12 90x16

    Cable row: 200x6 140x12 100x15

    Curl machine: 100x14

That is a great looking workout R3. You should have left the gym pleased after that.

No complaints here other than I'm sore! I think this will definitely help me out while I try to cut. Thanks for the advice.
