DAY 1: BALLLLLLLERRRR!!!! BACK/BIS
So right after I filmed myself being an idiot and then taking my preworkout I headed out for the gym. As I'm sitting in my car driving I suddenly find the urge to motivate myself with some music while at the same time I start to feel that familiar feeling on beta-alanine tingles on my arms and scalp. Well whattaya know this stuff has BA in it! Hells yea! Honestly I didn't look that much at the profile before I even took it. I must have been high on the watermelon fumes and forgot about it. Glad to see its incorporation there. I enjoy the tingles, and enjoy moreso because I know of the benefits that BA can provide in the long run. I was tapping away on my steering wheel and was about 2 minutes away when it happened. That feeling kicked in. That feeling that I knew that all of the weights in the gym somehow knew I was coming, and they were afraid. I could just see it. 40, 50, 60 pound dumbbells trembling on their safe little rack just hoping I wouldn't pick them up. And they should have been afraid. I wanted to HURT them. I wanted to **** THEM UP. The ALPHA feeling was in full effect. I walked in, pulled my calf-high socks up to protect my shins from my deadlifting, and WENT TO WORK.
Initial impressions: Tachycardic (fast heart rate), super sense of being IN THE ZONE (couldn't concentrate on anything except the weight in my hands and the form I was using), and I noticed that there must be something in the profile that acts as a vasoconstrictor. How did I come to this conclusion? My nose was running when I walked into the gym. I'm not sick nor do I have a cold. But DJ, wtf does that matter? Have you ever gotten a stuffy nose and taken Afrin to give yourself relief and be able to breathe? The ingredient in Afrin, oxymetazoline hydrochloride, is a vasoconstrictor. You feel relieved because it constricts the capillaries in your nasal mucosa and stops the "swelling" that is causing the stuffiness. Well my nose wasn't stuffy when I went in, but having the runny nose means that whatever fluid was being carried along my bloodstream in my nose was squished out... hence a runny nose. This is not a bad thing. I noticed myself breathing easier actually.
OK enough science mumbo jumbo... lets see those NUMBERS mang!
For those of you that have never followed a log of mine before, BOLDED numbers represents a PR (either weight or rep).
DEADLIFT: 135x10 185x8 225x8 275x6 315x3 So a typical deadlift day here... 315 felt extremely heavy today and thats probably because I had grip problems. The thunderstorm that came through knocked out the gym's power but came back on before I got there but it knocked their AC units out so it was really humid in the gym and the bar felt more slippery than usual.
KNEELING UNDERHAND GRIP PULLDOWN: 40x12,12,12,12
ONE ARM DB ROW: 50x8 45x12 40x15 75x6 Weights/Reps up for each set. Wow. Never thought I'd one-arm row 75!
BENT OVER ROW: 45x12 65x10 115x10,10,10 Uhhh... yea so I thought I was actually lifting 105 lol. I had the bar, and I knew 2 25lbs plates was 95lbs. So I thought OK 10lbs more will be 105, that'll be good. Well my dumbass puts 10s on both sides lol. So... way to fake yourself out for a PR there, DJ. LOL.
STANDING CABLE ROW: 50x10,10 I didn't like how this felt so I switched to...
SEATED ROW: 60x10,10
CHIN UPS, 45 DEGREE NEUTRAL GRIP: BWx4,4,2
HAMMER CURL: 45x8,8
CABLE ISOLATION CURL: 40x10,10
So...5 PRs on day 1? DAFUQ?????
If this is how Lecheek rolls then GET DA **** OUTTA DA WAY I'm be tearing up new PRs every freakin' WEEK!
Notes: INSANE PUMPS! Felt like a damn marble statue! Started at about halfway through the underhand pulldowns. I was like damn I wonder if there is agmatine in this bitch.... sure enough... lol DJ read the damn labels! I haven't taken agmatine for over a month now and DAMN it feels amazing to have those pumps again. And to be on DAA again (low dose though Marms? Not 3g I assume since the profile isn't even 3g total?) Maybe I need to supplement my supplement (lol see what I did thurrrr) with some more DAA, perhaps Formula-X???? LOVE IT!
Rest day tomorrow. Perhaps some LISS cardio. We'll see !

Good lord. Thank god its not daytime and sunny outside otherwise I'm pretty sure I would have hit up Lowe's home goods and have rearranged and replanted the entire front porch's mulch bed.

DAY 2: HIIT CARDIO
Yes I know I said LISS cardio in my OP but I decided I didn't feel like doing that boring **** anymore. Besides HIIT is more effective at fat burning anyway and I don't get so bored. And how could you with SpeedX3 as a preworkout lightning bolt strike to the legs? One thing I noticed: those beta alanine tingles kick in almost immediately. I slammed my 1 scoop of SpeedX3 and was right out the door afterwards. The gym is only a ten minute drive, and halfway there I started to feel the tingles creeping up on my face, arms and lips. I knew that I was going to crush this workout. Now I haven't run HIIT since my honeymoon, so it has been about 1.5 months and I wasn't sure where my endurance was going to give out.
Ran 6.0mph warmup for 5 minutes. Then started the HIIT cycles. I was going to shoot for six cycles. I ended up pushing myself to my usual 10 cycles and I was proud of that
Cycle1: 9.0mph sprint 30 seconds w/ 1:30 jog at 6.0mph
Cycle 2: 9.0mph sprint 30 seconds w/ 1:30 jog at 6.0mph
Cycle 3: 9.0mph sprint 30 seconds w/ 1:30 jog at 6.0mph
Cycle 4: 9.0mph sprint 30 seconds w/ :30 walk at 4.0mph and 1:00 jog at 6.0mph
Cycle 5: 9.0mph sprint 30 seconds w/ :30 walk at 4.0mph and 1:00 jog at 6.0mph
Cycle 6: 9.5mph sprint 30 seconds w/ 1:30 walk at 4.0mph
Cycle 7: 9.0mph sprint 30 seconds w/ :30 walk at 4.0mph and 1:00 jog at 6.0mph
Cycle 8: 10mph sprint 30 seconds w/ 1:30 walk at 4.0mph
Cycle 9: 9mph sprint 30 seconds w/ :30 walk at 4.0mph and 1:00 jog at 6.0mph
Cycle 10: 10mph sprint 30 seconds and then the treadmill BROKE...
It was my intention to take a picture of my distance/cals burned, but this wouldn't get off the damn screen. It also ****ed up my cooldown. So I hopped on another treadmill and walked for 5 minutes at 4.0mph
So you guys will just have to believe me: 450 calories burned in 25 minutes
