    Quick update:

took 4 caps Fat Smack this morning and WOW! Appetite is destroyed! The stim effects are a little stronger too, not too crazy but definitely more present.

I had to really force myself to eat breakfast as nothing in my kitchen sounded like it would be good. I really had no desire to eat at all I just knew I had to so made myself.

I tried to open a can of tuna and almost threw up when I smelled it! Unless I am getting sick I will have to attribute this to the 4 caps.

I ended up just having a whey shake with some fish oil and glutamine

I agree, I'm cutting hardcore now, and my only carb source is oats and veggies, no starch.

Oats have a high GI? That is seriously the first I've ever heard of that!

I've noticed that I've put on the most muscle when I eat more oats, more muscle than increasing anything else (assuming already high protein diet).

It just doesn't make sense to me, don't all the big bodybuilders pretty much eat oats as their primary carb source (and sweet potatoes)...?

GI is 61 and much higher if its flavored.

the weight/muscle gain is mostly water from the extra glycogen you are consuming. excess glycogen gets stored as water. sure the carbs do cause a muscle building insulin spike but so does meat/eggs/fish. if you are purely bodybuilding for mass, extra water retention does help lift more weight etc. however when the big bodybuilders wanna get down to a low bodyfat you will see them cut things like oatmeal out of their diet.

From what I saw on the low end Steel cut oats rate 42 on the glycemic index, old fashioned rolled oats rate at 50. Some other sites have oats at 48, others sites at 58. Seems to be a wide range there.

I use just old fashioned steel cut oats post workout, so regardless of insulin spike or not, it's a good time IMO.

You seem to have a lot of info on different foods, a lot of restrictions for you. Are you strict paleo Anton?

not too strict. i eat cheese and take whey. but i do avoid grains/processed sugars and other dairy. my whole thing with food is if you are gonna eat something then it better have vitamins/minerals. oatmeal is just empty calories. another thing is the acidity of foods. oatmeal and other grains are super acidic and therefore should be eaten less and in combination with vegetables to achieve a more alkaline state. check this out:

The plan wasnt really toward a hardcore cutting, more towards loosing fat while maintaining muscle and strength. The diet isnt really conclusive to an all out cut ALTHOUGH I was planning on what to do next and its looking like next month its going to be an all out balls to the wall cut for me should be fun!!!

    Agree'd

if you compare foods gram for gram on their nutritional content fruits and veggies will always win when it comes to all grains.

This is because oatmeal is converted rapidly to sugar and if you consider ta most people make theirs with milk and fruit then your blood sugar spikes even more. One of the reasons why we are programed to believe oatmeal is a super food is because it has been shown to reduce LDL cholesterol, especially small LDL.

From a blood sugar standpoint a bowl of oats will elicit a somewhat similar response to if you had a candy bar for breakfast

From a health standpoint Oats are often contaminated with other gluten grains during processing and gluten grains cause leaky gut. Also the avenin protein appears to have similar effects to gluten.

As to why the bodybuilders do it, I would suppose it is because they are under the belief that they need to create a insulin response in order to take advantage of IGF-1. There has been some controversy over this as many believe carbs after a workout can blunt GH response and a GH response is needed for the release of IGF-1. Personally I dont know where I sit on this subject but I still consume around 60g carbs after my workouts. Another thing to consider is oats are cheap, low calorie, quick to eat (you can just toss them in a blender with a shake) and high fiber.

    Great link!

I try to keep the ph of food in my mind when making meals, a trick to do is to make sure you add a good amount of fat to your meals. Most fat is more akaline and will help balance out the ph of the meal. Also adding a couple grams of Glutamine will help make the meal a little more base to.

Honestly though when talking about carbs from a weight loss perspective I feel there is little difference between say a red potato baked with EVOO and a bowl of oatmeal or any other carb source you would use post workout. I like to use red potatoes because they have a little more nutrient content than other carb choices. I usually will alternate between red potatoes, sweet potatoes, and quinoa.

    3/13-3/19 Update

Sorry the daily updates have kind of slowed up a bit. I have done a couple of random updates on some thoughts I have experienced. I am going to try and summarize the week here the best I can remember.

Pretty much in essence this week has been horrible but not Purus supplement wise but me. Diet has been hit and miss with a couple great days and a couple not so great days. Also workouts have been barely existent along with my sleep. My daughter has a constant stuffy nose and is refluxing/throwing up A LOT. Sleep has only been a couple hours at a time and then I am up with her. I usually workout before I go to work but with the lack of sleep I just havent been able to get up early enough to get a workout in and still have time for work. As you can see from my last post I barely have enough time to prepare my food. I worked out only twice this week both times were on an off day and intensity wasn't really there much. As for BJJ.. forget about it my off days pretty much consist of me getting cat naps and lounging around resting.

As for as Fat Smack and SLINshot everything has been going extremely well, especially considering the circumstances. I have done NO CARDIO and continue to loose weight. My diet has been either at maintenance or a little above and all carb meals I have taken 1-2 caps SLINshot prior. As for the Fat Smack I am taking them 2 caps at a time twice a day now and I think this is where its at for me.

Four days ago (3/16) I was 194lbs and this morning (3/20) I am 191.8! Progress is steady with the stack and I am pleasantly surprised

The goal for this upcoming week is to get back on track with everything and give it 150%. We already saw what this stack can do when your a lazy slacker (this past week) but now I want to see what this stack can really do when you combine it with some hard work and dedication.

Last few post were a good read. Isn't the fat loss without any effort awesome? Fat smack was the only fat burner / stim that leaned me out when I was doing little cardio and a bulking diet. Try taking 3 caps before fasted cardio .

Have you experienced any heart burn from FS?

I was really surprised when I stepped onto the scale this morning. I expected to be up in weight not down

I am going to go to BJJ 2x this week and add in some BB complexes at the end of upperbody days and jogging at the end of lower body days so I should get around 6 days of some cardio in plus I am going to MAKE diet on point. Might start cutting out some fruit and stick to only carbs post workout and the rest of the day keto-ish. I think I have about maybe 2 weeks of this left but I havent counted the caps or anything it may only be 1 week.

I will try 3 caps tomorrow and see how that goes. Did you take it 3 in am AND 3 in pm? I like 2/2 right now

Really great info being put on display here guys, thanks to all!! I agree with the whole "acidity" thing, when I'm dieting I add in quite a bit of spinach, it's high alkaline content helps buffer the extra acidity from increased protein. If I don't I notice I stagnate after about 3 weeks.

Those blue diamond almonds are a staple of mine, but I buy the flavored ones, lots of one s to choose from, I recommend the Habenero Barbeque.

Log is lookin' great bud, adn the results are showing. Seems like this is a very solid supp.

Yes indeed the whole stack has been treating me pretty good. I think fat smack is one of those under the radar supps but it is very effective! Purus just doesnt spend as much on marketing as other companies do I guess I never even considered fat smack as part of my fat attacking arsenal but now it definetely is going to be a go to fat burner/appetitte supressent (especially at 4 caps woah!)

    FINAL WEEK PLANS

    Purus Stack
So I counted my Fat Smack caps and have exactly 42 caps left so at 3/3 I will have exactly 7 days left and I as long as tomorrow goes good at 3/3 that's what the game plan will be for the week

I have 28 caps of SLINshot left and I usually take 4 a day so that comes to 7 days too.. How convenient right

    Training
Gonna be 4 lift days with maybe a 5th day of some sort or drop set or circuit type workout. Also going to be 6 days of some sort of cardio done this last week too.

    Diet
Diet will be very keto like with the ONLY carbs being during and post workout. Rest of the day will be fats & protein

    Time to put in work!!

I'm here for the finale (some rep I am) lol

School, life, relationships been getting me down and being busy. I'm back in and glad you are liking it so far! Plus a big BCAA discussion lol good info.

Notice for other users make sure to eat shortly after Fat Smack dosage, especially if 2 caps serving. The capsanoids are high dosed and strong and can upset stomachs and cause heartburn. It's a quest feeling but if you eat even the smallest piece of bread or protein it subsides completely.

Popped them this morning ran out of time to eat.....was not fun lol first time ever though.

Thanks guys! Hope to end this log at around the high 180s like 188, 189ish and I will be happy.

That would be an overall drop of 10lbs with little to no aditional cardio, a week of slacking, and the pretty much the same diet I have been maintaining prior to this log.

Welcome to the fun sir, everything is going great! I am really enjoying the stack. I usually get heartburns so I didn't really associate them to the fat smack, good to know though. Next time I get one I will eat some almonds and see of it helps
