I don't know fellas, but I have a DAMN good feeling about this team this year!!!! They just have an awesome chemistry going, it's great and fun to watch. I think this might be the year we finally add another one, I HOPE SO:147:

i grew up in queens so i'm a mets fan (pity me) but i can get behind any NY team when needed.

Wow....some fans in here.....I can't believe I have gotten away with that post for over 22 hours with no response. Try that crap in a BOSOX thread you'll get eaten alive.......

Dude, unlike other team's fans, the Yankees have a record that does it's speaking for us. There's nothing for you to see or do here.

I'll keep this thread in mind come playoff time. It's amazing how quickly the tides can shift when it matters...

Here is the run down of our teams in just our life times (last 40-50yrs):

I agree that tides can turn. But this second half is very reminiscent of the classic post All-Star Red Sox collapses of generations. If they hold on to the Wild Card then we can always see the classic head to head rivalry settled on the diamond. There is no better baseball match-up! :)

word..........there's no need to strike back. Real winners don't flex nuts cause real winners know they got em'. we shall all see how the year play out but it's like someone or something kicked them in the ass after the all-star game.

26 titles speaks for itself. Born and raised on LI and have been a fan since late 70's and it was rough in the 80's. However, as usual we keep plugging along.

Geez guys I was just messin.....I love the rivvalry myself. I will say myself October should be interesting. No other match-up in Baseball draws more viewers....

This season the American League East is looking remarkably similar to the last 10 years. Notice the Yankees placed first in all but one season. One season the Red Sex did actually tie for first. The one season the Yankees did not place first the Tampa Bay Devil Rays did.

Also of note is that the Yankees are presently at a .640 PCT (best record in the MLB), tied with their second best PCT in the last 10 years. Not bad when you consider that their best was .740.

I see plenty of evidence to support the return of the American League East Championship and quite possibly the AL Pennant!

"With a magic number of five as they depart Anaheim on Wednesday, the Yankees have an opportunity to celebrate winning the division at home this weekend against their fiercest rivals, the Red Sox. Rodriguez said that reaching stage one of the playoff push was encouraging, but he and the Yankees have loftier goals in mind."

this member of the DRSE's is very happy, very happy indeed. wearing my NY shirt today at work......now if you'll excuse me i have a Boston fan here i need to go speak to, he's gonna get it

Didn't earn it? Ok...

Your season means just about squat right now as we enter the playoffs. It's a whole different ball game. I hope you boys don't get bounced in the ALDS yet again this year...;)
