Hey guys I have some oreo's at my house that I have been saving for my high carb day. I bought them last week and have just been saving them.

Anyway, just wondering if they would be good to eat after my leg day tomorrow with some whey? They only have a total of 14 grams of fat for a total of 4 cookies which doesn't seem bad at all since that easily can fit in my macros for the day. I know they are made up of simple carbohydrates so it would be good for an insulin spike immediately following my workout. Your thoughts? The flavor I have is limited edition Jelly Donut.

If you've been to depleting your body of carbohydrates your body will suck it up and shuttle it straight to the muscle (glycogen). Especialy if it's just one sitting I would eat as many as you want haha

Food is food.. Calories = gains.. All food in a surplus builds muscle because all carbs enter the blood as glucose ie Oreos or ie sweet potato just some contain more nutrients than others but if you have veggies in your diet your covered. Eat them ? Dont hold back just be ready for the cutting phase when it comes.. I dont follow clean 100% these days about 70% is and the rest is what ever i fancy and i feel better overall and it doesn't affect gains.

Yes my carbs are 40 grams or less per day. My high carb day takes place every 4-5 days.

The only thing I do not enjoy about carb cycling is water weight but it always goes away after a couple days and Im back to the same weight or even a little lower than the week before on average. My body is so sensitive right now due to low carbs on a daily basis that my body does gain quite a bit of water weight after high carb day. This past week on Sunday evening I was 7 pounds heavier than I was before I started my high carb day that morning. As of today I actually am less weight than I was this past Sunday morning before I started my high carb day.

The only thing I would do differently is make sure they are crushed up in an enormous bowl of ice cream with chocolate syrup on it.

If you eat one, you should just basically eat them all IMO haha, go crazy dude! especially after leg day. Whenever i eat something 'Not so clean" after a workout I just make sure that i earned it. But as stated above, crush up a bag, throw in a bowl of vanilla ice cream with some chocolate syrup be ready to fill out real quick bro! For me donuts are my weakness, ill put down donuts post leg day or back day. My diet is pretty clean therefore this post workout "cheat" doesn't affect me much.

As far as you holding more water, have you tried upping your water intake? Or how much water are you currently taking in?

It must be regional because Dunkin Donuts came out here a couple years ago and they are so weak compared to all the local places. I seriously have no idea how they stay in business.

That's nuts, where I live Dunkin does probably 90% of the business. I usually make my own because I don't wanna sit in line for 20min

This is pretty funny to me and the idea of bulking. Maybe you are being facetious and I didn't pick up on it.

I think all food is utilised accordingly. I never class anything as *bad* or *forbidden* just have them.. Im good at cutting so if i do gain a little to much podge then i just lay back for a few weeks and i am good again. I always say you only live once. I have a friend who is very strict and has even stopped socialising at times because he has run out of macros? No alcohol on nights out etc.. Not me.. Fair play to him though for that mindset but hes only in his 20's ie his prime. Im in great shape and i dont follow anything strict the only thing i make sure is i have adequate protein in the diet from good sources.. And also some healthy fats.. Carbs i go along with and how i want them. They all hit the blood all as glucose just some faster than others ie Glycemic. I do have veggies for micros and also for overall health aswell but thier easy added just alongside meals.. But i have stopped tracking foods as it was becoming obsessional i just use the mirror these days. Relax with food choices and enjoy what you can

That's bulking. I mean, I would easily pull in 7-9k a day during my bulks and that is next to impossible to do clean.

Bah I do not understand ...
I would only be attentive to excess fats ...
with carbohydrates I see no problem, I do not distinguish between complex or simple sugars ...
always glucose will eventually turn.
In bulk I would just limit fructose, I would be more careful with the fruit.

Do you feel swollen when you do the charging day? It's normal ... especially if you get 3 or 4 days from low carbohydrates ...

I would be careful with the electrolytes ... Take 1gr of citrated potassium per day, drink plenty of water, concentrate most carbohydrates in the peri workout, pre, intra, post.
On high carbohydrate days, it limits fibers.
