If they are acting, they are both better then Robert Deniro. I think they legitimately hate each other. This season should be good. The british dudes are hilarious. Is it me, or do most of the guys seem undersized for there weight divisions? Seems most of the 205ers will be 185ers if they make it to the UFC.

I have not watched it yet, which I am pissed about, but more important things are getting in the way at the moment. I hope to catch the rerun.

OK, watched episode one last night. It seems the focus is on Ken, Tito, and Dana more than the fighters themselves. I'll make my favorites pick after they show us some more guys in episode 2.

I def do not think they are acting!!! Ken Shamrock, IMO needs to chillax before Tito puts a hurting on his ass. How classic was it that all of Shamrock guys were like where the hell is our Grappling/Submission coach? While nutrition is great, protein is not goin to help when you are in a arm bar!!!

No kidden. Tito is out there teaching one on one. I really don’t think there’s a substitute for that. I understand was ken was saying about watching but still I think that the competitors are going to benefit from hitting the mat with some good coaches.

Is it just me or is Tito more likeable after seeing him on TUF? I always respected his game, but I've always seen him kind of as a punk. I'm begining to think that part of Tito is/was just for show.

I was just saying this tonight to my Brother. I like Tito better than ever. The exact opposite happened when I saw Hughes on TUF. I always thought he was a soft spoken nice guy....WRONG. Tito on the other hand has a nice guy side which he has kept hidden.

I was thinking the exact same thing on both counts.

I just LOVED the confrontation w/Tito/Shamrock!!! When Tito feinted and Ken jumped, I just about fell out!!! Shamrock has got to be the WORST COACH EVER! I also think that this show will go a long way to changing the public opinion of Tito.

This show is making Shamrock look really bad. He says the same cliche bullsh*t over and over again. His trash talking is unbelievably bad, any 5th grader would destroy him in a trash talking contest. Seems like most of the guys on his team have more knowledge then he does. It's almost sad to see what a lack of respect they have for him. Hopefully he won't appear as pathetic for the rest of the show.

The hatred is for real. I created all the tv graphics for the show and when we had to shoot ken and tito, they had to arrive at the set seperately at different times since the producers was afraid of a fight breaking out amongst the two. Its very real.

All in all I see Shamrock, as has been who's time is over. He is the worst coach, and and I have seen better trash talk on yo momma on MTV. Tito will have his way with Shamrock like he did the first match.
Also once again, the reason snagle puss lost was because his conditioning was not there!!! Where can you get the best conditioning from besides cardio? GRAPPLING, and what does Shamrock not have for his team? A GRAPPLING coach, he just started rolling with the guys, and he is a subpar grappler himself. IMO I would hate to be on Shamrock's team, you have lost even before you got into the Octogon.

Yeah, i lost a lot for Shamrock watching this years show. I never really liked Tito before, but the guy is clever, a good coach and an awesoe fighter. Tito will win this one, both the show and the upcoming fight!

Unfortunately we'll have to wait awhile for this fight to happen...Tito is out, and Forrest Griffin is going to fight Shamrock.

But after Tito's injuries are healed i think he is going to fight Ken. There will be too much pressure from The Ufc for him not to fight Ken.

I glad the last guy, Solomon, lost in the ring (even though the guy that one came off like a whiney little beeeach), the team 'dagger' crap was really getting annoying.

Y'know, for some reason I really started to like Solomon. Did you guys catch when he said something to the effect of "I wonder how the fight would've wound up if I had better conditioning?" I think that, pretty much, sums it all up. Oh and I think Forrest may have a good shot at whooping Shamrock...at least I hope he does. Shamrock's dead to me...DEAD!

I'm on the same page here man. I spoke to Salomon for a while during out photo shoot and he was super friendly and totally down to earth and worked super hard to provide for the family at home doing construction and then paying for his own fight classes at night. Tough life man. He deserves respect .

Yeah, I don't understand why so many people dislike Solomon. He's a pretty funny guy, Bisping would've put him to sleep though. I think Solomon could beat Rory 9 times out of 10. The Rory guy is disgusting in my book, looking forward to him losing in the semi's.

I liked Solomon, you know i got to show love to the brothers, but really I wanted him to beat the other guy, as Solomon is VERY strong, but he did not have CONDITIONING, nor the skills to GRAPPLE without a FUKIN COACH!!!

I didn't like Solomon for all the **** he talked.

And what's worse, he couldn't back it up.

I mean, good grief, you shouldn't talk **** like that in the first place, but at least be able to back it up.

He did talk a lot of ****, but most of it is just to make people laugh. I understand that is still very annoying, but its not like he was taking himself real seriously. He did lose, but I can see why he would talk Sh*t to Rory. He has all the tools to destroy Rory minus the conditioning. Plus Rory comes across as a putz.

Yes he did talk lots, mucho sheit, but hey thats the nature of the game. Like I said he was at a disadvantage because he was on Shams team. (pun intended)! All in all it came to controlling Rory on the floor, and he could not, and becasue he was tired from his lack of ROLLING SKILLS, and PRACTICE, he dropped those hands, and was taken out by a hugh kick to the head.

I highly doubt that 4-5 weeks of missed rolling had anything to do with him dropping his hands. He broke the first rule of striking: always keep your hands up. If he has not figured this out yey, then he does not deserve to advance.

What a tremendous b*tch that guy that left last night is. Its not even like hes a p*ssy, more like a reta*d. Made me sick to watch him make all the guys worry and then its some bull over a short term girlfriend. The guy asks him is your family hurt or something to that effect, and he says wheeping "it could be even worse". Hopefully they'll throw that cat on a UFN to get beatdown.

To keep your conditioning up in MMA training you have to stay at it. You would be suprised at how much taking it easy for a fews weeks will really screw up you cardio. The only way to stay conditioned for MMA is to ROLL and SPAR. (At least in my experience) You can be in great running shape and you'll still fatigue very easily. (It's a different type of conditioning)

I also would have to agree that shamrock is totally screwing his team. I used to watch videos of kens lions den training and they seemed to train pretty hardcore. What were seeing on the ultimate fighter is a low testosterone shadow of his former self. Maybe he just lost the passion for it. JMO......

Well I stumbled across this thread one day, having never seen any season of TUF, and I started watching. It has certainly been interesting, but this last episode, #6, I feel they went too far with the drama vibe.

That douchebag Noah gets a letter implying his girlfriend thinks he is cheating on her, and thus he decides to pack his bags and quit.

First of all, I thought he guys were supposed to be cut off from contact, how the hell does that letter make it to him. More over, how does a letter like that in a big manilla envelope make its way to him. I am sure they have emergency contact info for everyone, so the producers had to know it was not a serious situation. I think this was all done intentionally to create drama, and make it more reality series-esque. That letter should have never made its way to him, but someone in charge intentionally made sure it did so that some "interesting" situation would manifest itself. I don't know about you guys, but there was no fight that episode and that annoyed the **** out of me.

Rogue Drone, I agree that the first season seemed a lot more serious. After the last TUF 3 episode I decided to see if I could find one from Season one. Sure enough the fighters and general atmosphere seems to be more focused on MMA and less on drama. Don't get me wrong, this latest season is still entertaining, but I hope they can keep it on track.

I believe that they are allowed to receive letters. Whether or not this is only for emergencies, I'm not sure. The thing that I do know, having worked on a few reality shows, is that they CANNOT initiate ANY contact w/the outside world. They sign so many confidentiality agreements (as did I) because they don't want you spilling ANY secrets to anyone.
As far as this season being more ridiculous than other seasons; that happens with just about every reality show. Just look at season 1 of The Real World. That was a REALLY interesting show with interesting people. Have you seen it lately? It's more like Girls Gone Wild than the interesting social experiment it once was.
At any rate, the fact that what's his name left the show wasn't because of the letter, really. He knew he didn't have it in him and that was his way out. No one in their right mind, who believed that they had a shot at greatness, would do what he did. I think he saw an exit and took it.

You're so right about the Real World. Season 1 was great, and then there were a few decent ones here and their, but the last 4 or 5 have been horrible. They have made up for it with there Real World vs Road Rules challenges(gauntlet or whatever). RW vs RR is no interesting social experiment, but its entertaining as hell. I see what your saying about Noah taking an easy exit, knowing that he didn't have it in him. Although I would've though beating Jesse would've boosted his confidence big time, as Jesse seemed to be one of the tougher dudes on the show. Who really knows I guess, either way he is an idiot and wasted a lot of peoples time and effort. He didn't even tell Tito he was leaving.

Anyone catch tonight's episode? Josh vs. Tait

I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. As hard as tait was trying to take Josh to the ground, Josh was trying just as hard to stay on his feet. I have to admit though, there were several times where Josh went to the ground that I thought Tait had him for sure. However, Josh truly stuck to his "never quit" attitude and after two rounds ended up winning by point tally.

As impressive as I found Josh's ability to evade Tait's submissions, I still thought that Tait controlled 2/3s of the fight, and should have won.

Never the less they both seemed like good guys. Shamrock is the real looser here, as he is out another fighter, 5-1 Ortiz leads....

Tait got robbed...I personally don't like the guy, but he controlled that fight. I think the scorecards show ho perception determines who wins. I understand that there are split decisions, but how can the score be 20-18 for both??

They need to start getting older fighters to judge these because they actually know what to look for more than the average judge.

I think the fight was too close to call. It should've gone to a third round. I hated Tait until his "farewell" speech. He seemed pretty gracious in defeat.
Decision could've gone either way.
I hope Danny (the "nice guy) beats that red haired dude...he's too full of himself...it seems those guys always seem to get beaten this season. Hopefully that'll continue

I dunno fellas. Not only did I think that fight was way boring, I thought that Tait was a better fighter than that. Wow, I guess I judged that book by it's cover! I guess that's how he made his living as a bodyguard...he looks the part but damn, he sure was taking a lot of blows while standing. I think it should've gone to the 3rd round but I was so bored by the end of the 2nd, I didn't even really care.

I think Tait was robbed too. He definitely seems to have a better chin than Josh. Josh got some good flurries in and defended takedowns pretty well, but he wouldn't have made it through another round.

Tait couldnt finish...He had so many opportunities but was too tired at that point. He had to had that triangle locked atleast three times.

And he did get knocked down from a punch once...

It was too close IMO...shouldve had a third round. Tait wouldve taken it.

Does anyone remember Shamrock yelling anything during the fight except "Get him on the ground Tait"? Tito instructs his guys throughout the fights and Shamrock just screams the same thing over and over again. He's useless as a coach and in the corner.

Yeah, but the thing is, if he would have gotten him on the ground instead of taking a bunch of punches to the face he would have won. He dominated Josh on the ground.

Ed Herman dominated that fight ridiculously well.

And you know, he did claim that he had a good jaw and with that first punch barely hurting him he blew right through that guy.

On the other side, I think that his attitude of "I'll fight anybody" is funny as hell. It never hurts your career to say something like that in the fight game...but you better be pretty confident of your skills.

vicious armbar btw, I thought with the angle and force there might be shoulderjoint damage from that in addition to elbows.

danny was talking after the fight like he won...saying how tough he was and how he showed everyone that he had what it takes. he landed one punch early and was dominated after that. maybe he thought it was a moral victory for not getting ktfo.

Yeah, the guy that lost was a joke. I don't know what the hell he was talking about at the end. But really, did you guys think that "the Ginga Ninja" did so great? I mean the end result justifies the means but I don't know, his skills didn't seem all that sharp to me. Normally, I'd say that it was becasue he's still an amateur and whatnot but he was talking so much crap. I was expecting him to run right through this guy and be done in seconds. I'll have to watch it again.
