It was a great fight and i'd have to give it to Kendall also... going into the fight i actually thought that Kalib would take it.Originally Posted by pistonpump

They both got beat mentally and physically... I can almost understand Kristian not wanting to come back cuz he had stitches on his head but Tait flat out wussed... he looked like a beat man.Originally Posted by stxnas

Tait looked like he got his face run-over. I can understand where he's comin from.
There comes a point in a fighters life when he looses the will to fight. It happens to EVERYBODY that's a fighter. Just that most cases are masked as retirement from a good size career.
It's the same thing in any sport really. The loss of the will to compete is the same thing. It's like loosing motivation to work out. You loose it, you're done till you can find it again.
06-09-2006, 12:47 PM
Yeah, Tait and Kristian are not warriors. They are not cut from the same cloth as true mixed martial artists. I mean, that's almost EXACTLY how Tito got his shot at greatness. I can remember Tim "the Maniac" Sylvia getting his forearm snapped in 2 and still wanting to continue fighting. I could go on and on but I think y'all get the idea. I couldn't believe Tait complaining about his cardio, either. Cardio had nothing to do with the fact that he quit. Just imagine the countless fighters that didn't get chosen, sitting home watching these guys quit. I feel like they not only wasted the coaches, the UFC's and their teammates' time...they ****ing wasted mine!!! It was kinda funny watching Dana getting turned-down, though. LOL BTW, did you guys happen to notice the HUGE difference in coaching coming form either corner? Like night and day.

so what do you think the outcome will be between Rory and Ed? and the winner of that against Kendall who do you think will take that?

Rory vs Ed...what does one base this off of? If I base this fight off of what I've heard (mostly hype though) Ed should win. If I base my decision off of their TUF fights...well, I may just skip this episode b/c their fights looked pretty sloppyOriginally Posted by pistonpump

I was so bummed when I heard Matt was done.
I thought the fight on the last episode with Kalib and Kendall was the best fight of the season/show.
Fight Finder - Ross "The Gladiator" Pointon's Mixed Martial Arts Statistics
Bisping has already beaten Ross.
I think the Rory and Ed fight will be taken by Ed mainly because Rory looked ****ty fighting against soloman, and somehow K.O.'d him with a weak kick. Ed wasn't very impressive either, but I think he looked better than Rory
06-13-2006, 12:16 AM
This season does suck. Bisping keeps it fun to watch
06-13-2006, 08:02 AM
I agree with that^
I hope Bisping takes it all. It would have been nice to see Bisping and Matt go at it. Too bad about that though. Maybe that'll happen on one of those Ultimate Fight Nights. I'd still take Bisping of course, but I would liket to see that.
06-15-2006, 04:42 PM
I hope Bisping wins. He also has a baby face. Its so funny to watch him get pissed off at Matt. I also heard that Ed Herman loses to Rory from a source that claims to know the outcomes, but I am not 100% sure if he is lying or not.
06-15-2006, 06:43 PM
Dammit...I hate when I come across spoilers by accident!

prefight guess. Bisping will win.

its Bispring vs. the fat short blue headed guy and Grove vs. Herman in the finals.
the fat blue head guy made it to the finals on pure heart he has the most heart out of any of the fighters in this season i think.
Bispring did exactly wat he was planning on doing and connected with that awesome flying knee.
i think if Herman has no standup at all and if Kendal keeps it on the feet he will win so Tito should train Kendall hard on the ground game. GO Hawaii! haha
06-16-2006, 10:04 AM
I'm pulling for Bispring again, he just seems to go all out when he is in training which I like. Also it seems like he likes to use different ways to beat you which is definately the way to go in my book (I like adapting to the situation raither than having a plan, I have a kind of, "win any way you can" aproach)

It was pretty unfortunate Kaleb byatched out, I thought he had alot of potential. It's also unfortunate Hamill was injured, he looked like a beast.
06-16-2006, 01:19 PM
Kendall wouldve won the fight either way. Kaleb looked intimadated of him. Yah Hamil shouldve been in the finals but we will see what he's got on the finale.Originally Posted by Mulletsoldier

Hamill looked like crap against Nickels considering he abondoned his wrestling and tries to stand-up against Nickels. It only would have taken a mighty high kick to KO Hammill.Originally Posted by pistonpump

I'm not completey sure about that. The fight looked pretty much square when it ended.Originally Posted by pistonpump

Wes Combs is a fighter who completes in king of the cage and was not on the television program.Originally Posted by pistonpump

Wes Combs is a pretty big dude with heavy hands. Nickels will get knocked out if the same fighter from his last match shows up.
06-16-2006, 08:49 PM
Yes Hamil seriously needed to stick him on the ground and be done with it. But also train all the time on his stand up so that eventually it will become a strength instead of a weakness.
But man is it me or did these guys not realise the real damage is when you get up close and personal with your opponent? It looked sissyfied swingin from as far out as they have been swingin. You want power? Get up in his grill.
06-17-2006, 12:22 PM
It is easy for us to say things like that, as most of us dont have the amount of pressure that they had on them. But I agree with you.

There is a TUF marathon on SPIKE today.
06-24-2006, 12:01 PM
Damn, just saw Bisping vs Kristian. Bisping tore it up. That being said, I'm curious to know how this would have gone if Kristian's head didn't split like that.
06-24-2006, 12:34 PM
good question man, that would be interesting to find out.
06-24-2006, 12:46 PM
Well, Kristian was a good kid, meaning that he had lots of experience. He has more pro fights than Shamrock and Ortiz. BUT, he is older too and would have gassed by the third round or so. I still think it would have gone either way.
06-24-2006, 12:53 PM
Yeah, he didn't seem to have great conditioning and I think the outcome would have been the same despite the cut.
06-24-2006, 01:31 PM
yeah one word for him would be Cardio, lots of cardio so he could go the distance.

FYI TUF3 Finale Is On NOW
Could it be possible that Ed has let his ego get the best of him while on TUF? Maybe he took the TUF competition too lightly and it was a poor representation of his true abilities. We'll find out soon enough.Originally Posted by Rogue Drone

Man what a fight...I like both of those fights but I still saw openings for armbars, leglocks, and ankle locks. As well as more positionings for whoop-ass knee strikes at close range. I even saw an opening for a kick ass kick to the abdominals.
But the great thing is I saw a good bit less of those types of openings but they were still there.
