Test Cyp questions

I have been under the wonderful care of Dr. Mariano for one year. I went to see him because, at 38, I suffer some fatigue, loss of libido, mild ED, non-restful sleep, etc. He's worked to get my systemic inflamation under control by treating my adrenals, but my Test remains a problem - my total T averages in the 400s and my E2 averages around 14. After getting my diet/supplements regulated, he's decided to have me take a Test Cyp shot every week - 100mg.

I'm not a bodybuilder or anything, just a normal guy, but can some of you share your experience with this? What am I to expect in the first weeks/months of injecting Test Cyp once a week?

Also, I'm concerned about the body hair issue. I'm fairly hairy already - chest. primarily. Some on back and upper arms, but I've always been able to keep it under conrtol with laser treatment or shaving. I have a fear of turning into Sasquatch with supplemental Testosterone. Can anyone share their experience in this regard?

Also, do you have a prefered location of injection, and if so, why?

Thanks for your help,
Eisenhower

Dr. M is the best and you will do good on T shots this will get your levels up in time and bring up your Estradiol levels you will now when you get some dam strong night time and morning wood the kind that wake you up. This means your Estradiol levels have come up. Now they can keep going up so watch for sore and hard nipples feeling hot and sweating a lot with your upper body looking red on your face. This is the start of your Estradiol levels going to high. We use Arimidex to keep this down. IF you need it just ask.

What your Trying to do is to get your Total T levels up into the upper 1/3 of your labs range and your feeling better. Then your body will start to undo the damage done from being low for so long. And you will feel a little better everyday it's a slow process.

I have not in all the yrs. seen men with low Adrenals and Thyroid and low Testosterone get higher levels of Testosterone treating only Adrenals and Thyroid. It's a long hard road you did trying this and Dr. M feels it works I have yet to see this but he is the Dr.

I would have told you to treat all of them because low testosterone will stress your adrenals even more and you suffer big time with low T levels. But thats just me.

Now some men grow more hair on there body I did and I hate it Once every 3 months I clip it all down on my body.

But this is a small price to pay to feel better.

Dr. M helped a lot of use when he was posting at MESO Men's heath Forum. Now he has his own forum.

Thanks for the response. How bad was the hair? Was it hair in new places or denser, thicker hair where you already had it?

Also, Dr. M said he was recomending Test Cyp rather than HCG because he said HCG was getting hard to get due to people using it for dieting, etc. I'm not by any means knowledgeable on this stuff, but I was kind of hoping for the HCG, thinking it was more to make my own testicles do a better job, whereas Test Cyp will cause them to shut down (shrink, as he said, by about 20%).

So, what happens if I get married and want to have kids? Unfortunately, we ran out of time and I didn't get to ask Dr. M these questions.

Thanks,
Eisenhower

You can buy HCG now it's not in shortage anymore if you can't get it go to the ADC site and order it.

If you get this let me know I will tell you how you need to mix it. If I were you I would get my Sperm tested and if it's good have some frozen for a back up in case your can't make a baby later.

I had one or two hairs on my chest before TRT now my chest if full of hair from just below my nipples and going up it is thick and grows long the rest says short.

Thanks. I don't want to do anything Dr. M doesn't prescribe, so I'll talk to him about maybe doing HCG and TCyp together. I'll be honest, I'm really nervous about this whole thing. I've wanted to get on Test for a couple years but now that I'm at the brink, I'm kind of scared.

Over the last two years, my Total Test labs have been in the 400s (lowest was 235 and highest was 525) - mostly they've been in the 400s. My E2 was tested 3 times and was 12, 10 and 14. I don't have strong nocturnal erections (for a few years I literally wasn't having any, then I started taking supps like Arginine and began getting them) and I never get a morning erection - haven't had one in years. I'm not impotent, I can have sex, but usually requires direct physical stimulation to get the erection going. In last couple years, I've used Levitra as an insurance policy.

I'm just scared of starting something I can't stop. For instance, if I dislike what the T is doing to me and I want to stop, I'm scared I'll be worse off than I am now, which, while not feeling great, isn't totally broken down either.

Can anyone offer any counsel? I guess I'm just nervous that I'm going to start a rollercoaster that will be worse than the current reality. I read stories about guys really getting a new life through T, but I also read so many stories of guys on a rollercoaster from hell.

Thanks,
Eisenhower

I don't know anyone that had levels as low as yours that did not feel better on TRT your will be fine. It's a small price to pay to stay healthy. Look at it this way the longer you go on life not treating your low levels the more damage your doing to your body and brain and your taking time off the back if your life. Men that need TRT don't live as long as men that don't need it.

And as your Estradiol level come back up so will your morning wood.

Thanks, I guess I needed to hear someone reaffirm that my levels are too low. Dr. M was kind of like "Well, it's really relative, case by case ... but, look at it this way - in another 10 years you'll be in the 300s, and clearly hypogonadal."

Thanks for your input, man. I guess I just need to quit being a wuss and get on with it.

Your levels are low and you have all the typical symptoms. I felt like crap for a few years before realizing I might have low T. I have been on T-cyp + HCG for a little over a year now and feel amazing compared to pre-TRT.

Give it a year to get things dialed in and don't get discouraged if you don't feel perfect right away. I can't imagine going back to feeling like I did pre-TRT. I have more energy, have lost weight, and am in better shape at 42 than any other time of my life. I'm also less cranky around the family.

Oh yeah, better get used to shaving every couple of days if your wife isn't a fan of body hair.

Thanks. Where are you having body hair issues - all over?

Some people on TRT don't get more body hair. Your DHT level has a lot to do with it. Most likely if you are hairy now you probably will end up with more hair in the same places and it will probably grow faster.

My guess is that if you felt the improvement that normal T-levels give you increased body hair won't be a worry. I would also guess that your spouse would be OK with a little more body hair if you get the likely mood & fitness improvements from TRT.

what is the protocol you're on how much test and hcg and how do you dose it?

dr. m saying that you only use 100 mg test cyp, will it not shut the boys down?

i know some BB-ers from my country saying it will not shut the boys down at this dosage.. can't be true rite?

can you inject with a 27g needle a smaller one and still have it be succesfull, is this what you do or a large needle? kinda scared of this whole long needle stuff..

I don't do anything yet - Dr. M and I are going to have a phone consult to discuss details. All I know at this point is 100mg injected weekly. I'm hoping he'll agree to HCG too.
