ENHANCE YOUR HEMAVOL
THE CRITICALBENCH WAY

I am writing this because I secretly discovered a trick to making my hemavol
better, not that it isn't good enough, but because we are always looking for
something better! I know feel obligated to help others and expose my trick
that I have used prior to training, and prior to stepping on stage for a show;
a little more personally modified for the on stage application, but you get
the point.

INGREDIENTS
2 Scoops Protein
1 Tbsp Canolda Oil
5-10g Creatine Monohydrate
200mg R-ala (Can use ALA or NA-RALA depending on your preference)
1 Pack Lipton Chicken Noodle Soup (40g Carbs, 1g Sodium) with 2 cups water
2 Scoops or 10 tabs hemavol with 16oz water
20g sugar Candy (Sweet tarts, nerds, cotton candy, sour patches, etc)

HOW I DO IT

1 Hour Pre-Workout
-2 Scoops Protein Powder with 1tbsp Canola Oil

45 Minutes Pre-Workout
-200mg NA-Rala

30 Minutes Pre-Workout
-1 Packet Lipton soup with 2 cups water
-2 Scoops hemavol with 16oz water
-5-10 (I use 10) grams of creatine mono mixed with hemavol

5 minutes Pre-Workout
-20g sugar from Candy (I use sweet tarts, a handful of em or cotton candy.
My training partner uses nerds, just any pure sugar, no fat candy)

No science backing this, just personal experience. The sodium in the soup
with the 10g of creatine mono and hemavol with 32oz of water total really
helps bring out the fullness and vascularity by way of water retention
and with the carbohydrate supersaturation with the R-ala. R-ala is also known
to make creatine monohydrate work much better. The rush from the sugar I feel
brings out the pop in the veins. The rest brings the fullness, but the end
with sugars brings the pop IMO. To me, this is a cheap addition that makes
pre-workout with out without hemavol a hell of a lot better. I have
personally been doing this for a year now since discovering it, used it
pre-contest for the 2011 NPC Pittsburgh Championships and had an explosion of
veins in my body. I notice a drastic difference from when I use this, to when
I don't. Many times I use it without hemavol and it is good, but with
hemavol, it is CRAZY!

You can manipulation the protein/fat intake however you want, that is what I
choose pre-workout as it sits with me best. I have a stomach disorder that
allows food to sit and pool in my stomach for much longer than the average
person, so whole foods just sit there and will make me feel sick during a
workout.

I apologize in advance if you try this and it doesn't work. We are all
different, what works for me may not work for you. I am just sharing this
because this has been one of the greatest discoveries for me since I started
bodybuilding.

****NO CLUE WHY M COMPUTER TYPED IT WITHOUT IT GOING ACROSS THE WHOLE LINE!?!

Since your eating the soup (for the salt) and taking the hemavol at the same time, wouldn't it be okay to just throw the gram of salt in with the hemavol in the shaker cup? As an alternative to eating a gram of salt?

Well, I take r-ala and use the soup for the 45g of carbs to supersaturate my muscle cells with carbs in addition to the effects of hemavol.

I'll give it a go. Well in a poor man's version, as no hemavol, and not a fan of soups. I'll add maltodextrin and pop an electrolytes tab along my pre-wo BCAAs with creatine nitrate, agmatine and taurine.

I went through my pill stash to find electrolytes. I found a nondescript ziploc with one plain cap inside. Hope, it's salt not something else. LOL.

It will fill you out, VERY fast. Less than an hour. I wish I had time to do this at the arnold amatuer, but when they said, "welterweights, you have almost two hours until going on stag"e.. and then 10 mins later they say, "welterweights start warming up, your up soon." you don't really have time for anything.. pissed me off haha.

Is this just something you use for your competitions, or is it something that can be done on a daily basis? I'm trying to figure out the timings better with my dosing/eating. I have yet to try your trick but hope to give it a go on my Back/Legs day Friday.

Omg I did this yesterday. First of all drinking the soup is just god damn nasty. Ate about 30 jolly rancher jelly beans as I walked into the gym. And HOLY ****. The pump was ****ing INSANE. I couldn't do hardly any pullups after about 30 minutes because my arms were so swollen. Felt amazing. Doing this from now on for sure.

Absolutely live GU Chomps, my wife uses em when she runs , but i eat em before the gym-46gm carbs, some lytes I think, little caffeine too, goes great with the assault/daa/anabeta i'm doing pre-wo right now. But will have to try the OP's suggestion, never considered Na+ in great amounts PRE workout!

Awesome man!! Glad I was able to help someone :).

Now, what kind of soup did you use.. I eat mine, not drink it lol. Did you take the r-ala with it, soup should have had around 40g of carbs, really helps with glycogen supersaturation.

Couple Questions:

-How much water is in this total between the protein powder, hemavol, and the water for the soup/and you don't feel like the extra water affects subQ water for competitions? Or do you plan it into to your total water intake for contest day?

-Would any carb intake suffice to be substituted for the soup to go along with the salt? Say 40g of carbs worth of white potatoes along with the gram of salt?

Thanks for sharing a very unique and promising trick!

Yes, going to try for a contest in June. I have one this weekend, but no hemavol to work with and I haven't given it a test run so I can't do it 100%, but I'm going to try and work it in in some capacity tomorrow. Going to try it w: 200mg na-r-ala & 5g creatine 45 mins prior; .5g sodium, 2g agmatine, 50ml veg glycerin, 4oz red wine, 8oz water 30 mins prior (typically do the red wine/glycerin anyways); 20g sugar (nerds) 5 minutes prior. Thoughts?

But that's maybe 48oz water total for the way you normally do it for prejudging (16oz each for hemavol, protein, & soup)?

Doing this for pre-judging is hard, and honestly you have to play it by ear. You don't want to drink more, if you are already full. You may need to drink more, or eat more salt, if you are still flat. I don't know how you load, so it is hard to say.

Are you a **** loaded, a slow loaded? Do you salt load?

I would avoid glycerin if using hemavol.. I would not do both. 500mg of salt, is very very low. For a show, I use 2+ grams min. R-ala, if you are eating carbs with it as i am sure you are, I'd bump the dose to 400-500mg. Pre judging is a whole different story than pre-workout.

UPDATE

Just so you guys are aware, I have updated a few things, the basic concept is the same, just changed a few food choices and such, that I use, which I will post up soon how I have augmented this plan. The current setup though, works just fine :)

I am also open to hearing what specific carb, candy choices you guys have chosen!
