So my Endo is dropping my regular TestoGel dosage from 50mg per day to 20mg per day, which I personally feel is way too low. Is 20mg of TestoGel even worth applying?
She wants to lower it to see how my body reacts to a lower dosage for four weeks. There is no other reasoning, that I can see, nor that she can answer, other than to see if my body can sustain my current T levels with a lower dosage. What is his reasoning for dropping down the dose? I've used TestoGel before and I found less than 40mg to be underwhelming. I did not however do bloodwork while using the TD Test as I was on cycle.
What are your total T levels while on 50mg ED?
20mg is a small dose as only a small portion (~10-15%) will actually be absorbed by the body.
I guess I have pie in my eye for guessing your doctor was a man.....Bad Toren. She wants to lower it to see how my body reacts to a lower dosage for four weeks. I don't feel as "Alpha" as I did back when I was on the injections that I was on before but I do still notice a difference on the 50mg of Testogel.I guess I have pie in my eye for guessing your doctor was a man.....Bad Toren.
How do you feel on your current dosing? That is what really matters! Are any of your values out of range or of concern? That would be the only reason I could see to play around with dosing. Having said that, I'm not going to second guess your Endo. Just don't be afraid to be firm with how you feel on the different doses.
Your levels will drop with a 60% reduction in testosterone. There is a direct correlation between dose and blood plasma levels.
You should get a new doctor with at least an ounce of sense lolI don't feel as "Alpha" as I did back when I was on the injections that I was on before but I do still notice a difference on the 50mg of Testogel.
Nothing is out of range, she said she wanted to run it at the lowest dose possible because of my age (24) so that if we need to increase it over the years it won't have to be as high a dosage.
I'm not sure of your history, but if TRT is a life choice you've made, and so long as everything is in range and there are no health issues, where you feel best is where you should be. That's the simple answer anyway.I don't feel as "Alpha" as I did back when I was on the injections that I was on before but I do still notice a difference on the 50mg of Testogel.

I live in the UK and you can't pick and choose your doctors in the NHS system.Dude....find a new doctor. Thats the lamest excuse ive ever seen....people dont develop tolerance on TRT...and even if they did, theres plenty of evidence showing men on TRT are healthier than men of the same age running on natural (older guys). Yes, you are 24 but all the more reason...you are supposed to be at the prime of your life, that includes test levels...why is she trying to see if you OK with an 80 year olds test levels??? Id 10/10 times find a new doctor and explain this to get him to chuckle.
She stopped them when she took over from my previous Endo. TRT wasn't really a choice, my body doesn't produce enough testosterone naturally. My levels after my last "layoff" before Christmas last year was 75ng/dl (40nmol/l).I'm not sure of your history, but if TRT is a life choice you've made, and so long as everything is in range and there are no health issues, where you feel best is where you should be. Why did you stop IM injections and switch to TD application?
Usually, mostly, its the other way arround. As we age, docs lower TRT doseI don't feel as "Alpha" as I did back when I was on the injections that I was on before but I do still notice a difference on the 50mg of Testogel.

This is what im talking about...this girl is treating testosterone as if it was ****ing adderall...I dont wanna make the call that its because shes a woman but this doctor clearly doesnt get how testosterone works for men...This is why I say find a new doctor, someone more experienced with TRT or who understands why a Young man should have lots of it without any side effects...Usually, mostly, its the other way arround.
