ok ..... many things to cover.
first thing you need to do is go see your doc and make sure nothing is torn/partially torn in your ankle like merph said.
everyone has said low weight high reps, and this could not be more wrong. i agree you should not use heavy weights but, i am a personal trainer and have seen first hand, had alot of experience, and read several medical journals on the negative effects of using high reps with aggravated joints/ligaments/tendons. if you have an aggravated joint you do not want to ever use a rep range over 15. the reason being, the more reps you perform the more it aggravates it (yes, even with light weights). if you continue to use high reps on injured joints you will keep the joint inflamed and it will never heal. i suggest using moderate weight with a rep range of 10-12, and no more than 9 sets per body part resting 1 full minute between sets. this may seem like not enough but remember a good "pump" or being sore the next day is not a good indicator of a good work out, heres a good training split for your condition.
day one- chest/abs
day two- quads
day three- rest
day four- back/traps
day five- hams/abs
im sure you noticed very quickly there are no arm or shoulder days. use compound movements with very strict and good form (no cheating or body language) on your chest and back days and your bis and tris will get the work they need (working with the chest and back is what they are intended to do in the first place). the shoulders will get plenty of work as well from the compound movements. this split gives your shoulders plenty of rest throughout the week, so they will have adequate time to recover/heal and not get inflamed. also (if your ligament in your ankle is not torn) do 25 min of cardio on an elliptical machine (it is low impact on your ankle) rite after each work out. this will obviously help burn calories but, it will also get some good blood flow to your joints and help inflammation go down faster.
sorry this is so long, but i hate seeing people further injuries when they think they are doing good and just don't know any better. plus you don't want to have jacked up shoulders and elbows this young, that stuff is suppose to happen to old people. haha
now, as far as supplements go.
animal flex is a great product for helping keep your joints lubed like krogtaar said.
im sure you are expecting me to tell you to stay away from anabolics, but if you really want to use something, no matter what anyone tells you, you are still proli going to do it. i have heard havoc/epi, halodrol, superdrol, and orastan-a (and all the clones of these) are harsh on joints. not sure about the others.
if you were going to use anabolics i would go with a low dose of test enanthate or cypionate 250 mg a week, stacked with deca ran at 100 mg a week. test enan and cyp are know for strength and size gains, alot of the size is due to the water retention, this will help keep joints lubed. deca stores water in connective tissues and increases collagen synthesis and bone mineral content, this will help significantly with your joint troubles. 100 mg a week of deca will not be enough to see big size gains, but you will enjoy strength, and moderate size gains and in the long run it will make you much stronger after it heals your joints and you can get back to heavy lifting.
run the test weeks 1-12 and the deca weeks 1-10. at the beginning of week 14 (two weeks after last test shot) start PCT
nolva ran at 40/20/20/10 (weeks 14-17) mg ed
i know this is alot of info, but if you listen to me and stick to it you will be thanking me.
best of luck
