Wide grip lat pulldowns-

135 xfailure (5 sets)

DB rows-

110x failure (3 sets)

Smith machine rows-

1 plate each side x failure (3 sets) this burned like a b!tch... No momentum, just straight pulls. Loved this!

45 x failure (min 12 reps) (4 sets)
65 x failure (min 8 reps) (3 sets)

Barbell curls-

90 x 8 (3 sets)

Cable curls:

Thanks man... Just so you know, this log is going to run for a while longer than the other I imagine... This is because I'm only using 1/2 a scoop each night lol.

Sorry about that

Had another great night sleep last night... But I didn't get to bed until 11pm and I have to be up at 5.30, so needless to say I was sooo tired.

It was leg day, so not the best for a sleepy morning lol.

Squats-

Warmups-
Bar x10
135 x 10
225 x 5
315 x2

365 x3 (3 sets)

This annoyed me a little as I could normally do 405 x3 :/

Leg extension-

225 x failure (4 sets, min 8 reps)

Ham curls-

135 x failure (at least 10 reps) 5 sets

Stiff leg deads-

225 x failure (at least 8 reps) 4 sets

Leg press (close feet)-

440 x failure (at least 15 reps)

That was it. Not as heavy as is like but still pretty good :)

Hopefully a better sleep tonight for chest and shoulders tomorrow.

God it would break me having that amount every night!!!

Thanks man.

So I got my normal amount of sleep last night... 8 hours :)

Woke up feeling exhausted though, that always happens if it was leg day lol.

So today was my second round of chest and shoulders- I decided my second session if the week should be lighter than the first, same with legs and back.

Note that all movements are slower and more controlled.

Flat BB bench-

175 x failure (at least 10 reps) all slow and controlled movements 4 sets.

Incline DB flys-

50x failure (at least 12) 4 sets

Incline DB press-

60x failure (at least 10 reps) 4 sets.

Incline hammer press-

1 plate each side x failure (at least 15 reps) 4 sets

Smith machine shoulder press-

1 plate each side x failure (min 8 reps) 3 sets

DB Side laterals-

25 x failure, then 10x failure (5 sets, love this exercise, I'll post a shoulder pump pic at the bottom of this thread)

Rear delt rows-

60x failure (4 sets)

BB Front raises-

45x failure (4 sets)

That was it for today, already feeling sore :)

Shoulder pump:
(Posting from mobile, hope it works)

Thanks man, I'm currently cutting so another 8 weeks I should look even more decent. I don't hold that much fat around my trap and shoulder area. Even when a higher bf%.

It all sits around my waist haha

Another solid sleep of 8 hours last night :)

Today was leg day... Was pretty psyched for it actually.

Squats-

Warmup-
Bar x15
135 x10
225 x8
315 x5
350 X1

Working set-

405 x2 (1 set)

Working on strength so not much volume for squats.

Leg extensions-

135x failure (min 20 reps, 3 sets)
205,135,60 x failure (drop set) (2 sets)

Had to get the owner to help me with this, when my legs stopped working I got him to lift the pad up just so I could keep pumping. Hurt like a b!tch!!! But loved it.

Hack squat-

1 plate each side x failure (min 10 reps, 3 sets)

Lying Hamstring curls-

225x failure (3 sets)
225, 135, 60 x failure (drop set, 2 sets)

Close stance leg press-

265x failure (min 12 reps, slow negatives) this burnt like crazy!!! Love these.

Calf raises-

225x failure (4 sets)

That was it for legs, intense and hardcore. Going to be stupidly sore tomorrow! :)

Chest and shoulders tomorrow, chest is my least favourite but I still enjoy it.

I'm planning to try and go for 420-440 in the next 2-3 weeks, it's taken me years to get to 405, I've always been strong lower half but to be fair in the last 1 year I've really pushed and got it from 350-405.

Go for it man, love this stuff it's great, what flavour?

Lemon freeze, my favorite.

I've hit 365x1 a couple times, and tried 375 one and no Bueno. With my new routine, hopefully I can get there in a year at least.

405x2? You probably have 420 in you for sure.

I've inly had that flavour in G8 but it's delicious :) really enjoying your products.

I find its all about getting pumped up, I think if horrible, nasty stuff that's very dark. I genuinely start to cry before I lift, then I just go for it... All out, do or die. That weight is coming back up, there is no failure.

That how I approach a heavy lift. Sounds weird if you have never done it lol.

Yeah man I'm hoping for a 420. My goal is 440... Finally hit the 200kg club.

Actually had a poor nights sleep last night :/ woke up at 12am for no reason? But then again at 4am... That was my daughter though... She went back to sleep :)

Today was chest and shoulders-

Bench press-

I'm always losing and gaining strength with bench, it's the lift I hate the most. It annoys me.

Anyway..

Warm up-

Bar x10
135 x8
200 x6

Working sets-

230x 5 (3sets)
265x 1

A few weeks ago I was pressing 225x8... Easy!
But nope, not now. So weird.

Invline DB flys-

60x10 (4 sets)

Incline hammer press-

1 plate each side x failure (4 sets, min 10 reps)

Dips-

BWx failure (min 12 reps,4sets)

Shoulders-

Seated military press-

110x8 (4 sets)
Really want to get this to 225.

Side lateral raises-

25x failure, 10x failure (5 sets)

Rear delt rows-

85x failure (min 10 reps, 4 sets)

BB Front raises-

60x failure (min 8 reps, 4 sets)

And that was it. Still annoyed at bench. Such a weird lift, I only ever stay consistent when I'm on a cycle.

That's right, looking forward to some solid sleep tonight :)

I don't know really, I am cutting to be fair but my other lifts aren't ever affected when I cut, maybe a 5-10lb drop but generally never. It's just always bench that suffers.

So I got my solid 8 hours of sleep :)

I woke up feeling absolutely exhausted though :(

I managed to drag myself out of my warm and cozy bed... Easily the most difficult thing you can do in the day.

Today was back and arms-

No deadlifts today, really wasn't feeling it. So I'm going to be doing that Friday instead.

Back:-

Wide grip Lat pulldowns-

135 x failure (3 sets)
200 x failure (2 sets)

Seated hammer strength rows-

1 plate each side x failure (min 12 reps, all nice and controlled reps, 4 sets)

Seated cable rows-

225x failure (min 12 reps, 5 sets)

DB rows-

110x failure (min 8 reps, 4 sets)

Arms:-

Bicep cable curls-

70x failure (min 15 reps, 6 sets)

Alt Dumbells curls-

30x failure (min 12 reps each arm, 5 sets)

Preacher curls-

50x failure (min 10 reps, 4 sets. Negative work)

Triceps-

Plate loaded dips-

1 plate each side x failure (4 sec up, 4 sec down, 5 sets) I can't actually explain the pump and burn of doing these! Love them.

Tricep rope push downs-

110x failure (min 10 reps, 5 sets)

French press-

70x failure (min 10 reps, 4 sets)

That was it for today, biceps always get hit more than tris. I like between 3-4 exercises for tris.

Maybe in 4-5 weeks I'll change it up, I like mixing things up :)

I didn't train yesterday or today because I'm feeling ill.

So taking the rest of the week off to rest.

But my sleep hasn't been affected while using G8 :)

Still getting my 8 hours in every night and recovering well. I'll keep you updated with the weekend and if I train.

Thanks for reading

Another update...

Still haven't trained this weekend as Im not 100% health. Feeling really sluggish and unmotivated. Hopefully this passes my Monday :)

But I've still been taking my G8, I'm sure this is helping me though as my sleep is undisturbed and I'm getting some good hours in, exactly what I need at this time.

I'll report back tomorrow and hopefully it will
Include a workout :)

Well got my solid 8 hours last night... Woke up feeling amazing!!! My illness is gone I think :)

What way to celebrate except back and biceps!!!

Deadlifts- speed work, had some of them timed.

Warm up-

135 x8 (fast pulls, takes me about 1second to yank these up)

225x6 (fast, these take about 1.5 seconds)

315x3, 3 sets (fast, these take about 1.8-2 seconds)

Defecit deads-

405x 3, 2 sets, fast as possible... Didn't time these but I'd say around 3 seconds maybe?

Underhand lat pulldowns-

160x10-12 (aiming for failure, controlled pulls, 5 sets)

BB rows... These are my favourite.

225x failure (min 8-10 reps, all controlled, no yanking or jerking)

Rear delt rows-

80x 10, 4 sets. These burn like sh!t :)

Biceps-

Cable curls-

70x failure (min 15 reps) 4sets

Alternating DB curls-

35x failure (min 10 reps) 4 sets

Hammer grip pull-ups-

BWx failure (min 6-8 reps)

Preacher curls (machine)

50x failure (min 20 reps) 5 sets

So all in all I felt great and had an amazing workout. Glad this illness has gone!!

Gona get another 8 hours tonight for some more training tomorrow.

Yeah just thought I'd try something new really.

Up until today, I hadn't done them for about a year. It's inly because when I caught myself in the mirror at the gym, my arms 'look' like they have responded well to being trained 2-3x a week and have grown. So my forearms looked a little out of place....

Can't have big arms and small forearms, looks stupid :)

Well no workout today as I took a day off to do some DIY round the house. Slept great though :) solid 8 hours again.

Tomorrow however is a BIG day for me, I've been psyching myself up all week, in fact since last Wednesday.... It's max squat. I'm going for an all time PB of 440, I've got my song chosen and been playing around with raising my adrenaline levels...

Big day and I'm excited, I'm so amped, even now. I'm gona dream about it. That weight is coming down on my back and I guarantee its coming back up, no way am I ready to fail... If I blackout while doing the rep... So be it.

I got my 8 hours last night ready for my leg workout :)

Squats-
I squatted outside of the rack today for a change... Actually really enjoyed it! But risky when you get heavy though :/

315 x1

Working sets-
330x 3 (5 sets)

Leg ext-

Between the squats and sldl you put in plenty of mass work.

I've never failed a squat (however I've not hit depth because I knew I wouldn't come up) but I'm not ballsy enough to squat heavy outside the rack. Lol

Sorry for the lack of updates guys, with Christmas and Boxing Day all the excitement with the little one took my mind off updating. Plus I've been drinking since Christmas Eve so didn't want to risk taking G8.

But last night I did take it, feel amazing today! Had 9 hours! First night in 2 days that I slept well.

Up early today, was training about 5.15am!! Took G8 as normal and slept beautifully :)

Today was some leg work, no squats as my back is in pieces from yesterday's heavy back session and all the heavy rack pulls.

Leg extensions-

Warm up-
50x 20-25 reps (3 sets)

Drop sets (4 sets)

150x failure (min 12 reps)
Straight into
60x failure (min 10 reps)

I did this non stop for 3 sets, no breaks between each set. It was brutal!

Then changed it to single leg drop sets,

50x failure
Dropped to
25x failure

I liked this because you can really tell the difference in leg strength/endurance.

Lying leg curls-

These were drop sets too, did 5 sets in total.

100x failure (min 10 reps)
Straight into
60x failure (min 10 reps)

Close stance leg press to target outer quads-

250x failure (min 12 reps, no locking out to keep tension, negative moment into explosive)

This beasts my legs to the max! Like a set of squats!!!

Then blasted some arms afterwards-

Seated alternated DB curls-

25x failure (min 12 reps) 5 sets.

Seated hammer curls-

50x failure (min 10 reps) 4 sets

Standing BB curls-

80x failure (min 6 reps) 4 sets

Cable curls-

70x failure (min 10 reps) 4 sets

Tricep pushdowns-

70x failure (min 15 reps) 4 sets

Reverse grip pull/push downs. (Not sure of name)

50x failure (min 12 reps) 4 sets

Close grip bench- my shoulder has been causing me some pain so I haven't been pressing for 2+ weeks, tried this out today and felt fine but still kept it light.

135x 10 reps, didn't push till failure as worried about shoulder. Felt good though.

Skull crushers, into freeze press-

30x failure on each exercise (min 15 reps) 3 sets

That's it for today, felt knackered this morning as I don't have any pre workout left and don't have the money to get any either... Christmas wasn't kind to my wallet :)

Next few weeks of early gym session will be a struggle for sure haha

Strong lifts man. That's a lot of rack pull weight.

But last night I did take it, feel amazing today! Had 9 hours! First night in 2 days that I slept well.
Lol. I got close to 11 on Saturday. I haven't slept that much in a LONG time. Guess I needed it.

Thanks man. 11! That's some sleep! I took G8 last night and slept like a baby as usual :)

But no gym today as I've been doing bits with the house. Going to try and get back in tomorrow, I'm off work this week so schedule is all messed up.

I decided to train some chest today with a gym partner. I had 7 hours sleep last night because my little one decided to wake up at 5am.

I got to the gym around 10.30 today so had some food in me already, and hydrated.
I was nervous however because of the pain I've been having in my shoulder, I've taken 3 weeks off and it felt great today... A little dull pain at times, but no real pain.

Incline hammer press (plate loaded)

Warmup-
No plates, just 'sled'
1 plate each side (25lb plates) x15-20 (2 sets)
1 plate each side (45lb plates)

Working sets-
3 plates (45lb plates) x failure, I hit: 9,9,8,10

Then jumped straight into reverse grip flat press (machine)

150x failure, I hit: 10,10,8,8

This was a big super set, so incline straight into flat press.

After that my chest was PUMPED beyond belief, felt amazing.

Smith incline press-

1 plate each side (45lb plates) x 15- 1 set
1 plate + 25lb each side x 8-10- 3 sets
2 plates (45lb) x3... This felt super heavy!

Cable flys-

75x failure, first stood straight up (8-10), then into bent over 90 degrees.(failure) 5 sets

That was it for chest, didn't want much more volume as I haven't trained it in 3 weeks.

No tricep or bicep work today, hopefully do that later this week.

Thanks

First time trying them today... Really liked them!
I've been doing some on the incline recently. It hard to unrack it at heavier weights but is killer.
