I currently take a probiotic daily which helps but still get bloating in mornings even when I eat clean. What are some digestive enzymes that work?

Journal your food intakeThat’s just my issue, I have no clue. It’s very random and I’ve tried this. Think I just have a sensitive digestion and wondering if enzymes will help
I’m in the same boat in that I feel/look bloated even with clean diet and low bf %, it sucksJournal your food intake
markdown what meals sit heavy
record how you feel prior to eating and after eating
Do the process of elimination game with what sources/meals are sitting heavy and re-evaluate
You can't just keep adding more pills and thinking the underlying issue will go away. Sure it will help, but it won't be a long-term fix. If it was an easy black and white answer then nobody would have digestion issues and we could all process and absorb all the foods we eat. Not always the case.
I would first start by eliminating high FODMAP items in your diet, and then going from there as they sit much harder on most people. I tend to find that eggs, higher fiber foods, higher FODMAP foods, and a lot of sugar alcohols or artificial sweeteners can cause a lot of havoc on peoples GI Tract.
Reducing the amount of liquid around meals also helps keep less volume in your GI tract and reduces bloating (a good tip I got from John Meadows)
Post up what you eat over the next 3-4 days in here
outline all the meals and amounts you eat (6oz chicken, beans, 2tbsp almond butter) state how you feel before eating and 30-60 minutes after.
I bet you will then see how you notice what meals are heavier, and what needs to be adjusted once you put it on paper and read over it and evaluate your own dietary meals.
Could be worth speaking to a GI-specialist at that point thenI’m in the same boat in that I feel/look bloated even with clean diet and low bf %, it sucks
You’re right in that it is some allergic reaction that causes the bloat and unfortunately I think I’m allergic to most things... well, I guess I’ll be going on a bananas only diet from now on...
I have been thinking about it, I think I’m allergic to a lot of things.Could be worth speaking to a GI-specialist at that point then
Just to play devils advocate here, it's not necessarily that you're allergic. It's a sensitivity issue and it's really common. As mentioned above, you need to play the elimination game to try and figure out exactly what you're allergic to. It could be something as simple as fructose- upsets a lot of peoples stomachs. Are you familiar at all with the Vertical Diet? If not, look into it. Really strips away most foods that commonly cause issues. It's a good starting point and you could slowly introduce a thing or two at a time back in and it'd be easy at that point to see where the issues are coming from. Doing something like this is probably the first sorta thing a Dr would do anyway. Even if you decide to go to the doc about this later, if you already did this and had established some sort of baseline it'd provide the doc(and yourself) with some useful information that would save both of you some time in figuring it out. Obviously, there's probably no magic pill the doc can give, it's gonna be a matter of figuring out what not to eat(or least not eat very much of), and you can do that without a dr.I have been thinking about it, I think I’m allergic to a lot of things.
