My story:
I've been on trt for about 4-5 years now. Dr has me at 200mg a week.
I do blast & cruise.
I haven't blasted since last summer.
My last pin before my bloodwork was roughly 3-4 weeks..
I've been taking Iconic Formulations Alpha Seven during that time.
Here's my bloods:
Test - 1264

Estrogen, total, serum - 212.6

Hematocrit - 50.7

Cholesterol - 167
HDL - 51
LDL - 93
Triglycerides - 130

I met with the Dr yesterday. She put me on Anastrozloe (1mg). She said take 1 pill everyday. To me, that seems a little bit much.. I understand trying to get my estrogen lower, but will that amount crash it?

Yeah your doctor is obviously ignorant on that specific subject, like a lot of doctor. Most people wouldn’t need 1mg every day of arimidex on 2000mg of test a week. That’s a ridiculous fucking amount of arimidex.

Yes, it is. Range is 60-190.
given where your test is I wouldn’t use any AI bro. I’m assuming you have no symptoms of high estrogen

depending on your goals I’d either

a) keep everything where it is if my goal was to hold as much lean mass as possible and keep progressing in the gym (at the expenses of some low adverse affect on health and longevity)

b) drop the test to 150. That’ll bring estrogen down automatically and I’m assuming your high on the range for test at that level? This would be the better for long term health and longevity imo

Yeah... i cannot believe that someone can be called a doctor and give such advice. I do understand a doctor cannot be a specialist in every field but god damn a good doctor knows when to say I’ll ask someone and get back to you. 1200 TT... estrogen 20 points out of range... that’s almost exactly my cruise levels and that’s how I want them. She asks him to take 7mg arimidex a week? Man this is so stupid it should be criminal.

you and me both bro, almost the same as mine and at this time it’s exactly what I want.

at some point I’ll drop both down a touch and focus more on long term health but for me at the moment I want optimal gains and performance in the gym (and to feel as good as possible while doing it). Those levels will provide that.

trt docs in the uk are often as bad though bro. No idea what to prescribe, no thought of the person and what they want.

it’s improving but slowly and is luck of the draw if you find one who knows what they are doing.

but yeah, the advice OP is getting should be medical negligence. That amount of Adex (imo inferior to asin but another topic) could crash the **** out of his estrogen - I’d feel horrible on that amount. I know individual requirements vary but I’ve never seen anyone need that amount on way more test.

If it wasn't such a rough recovery, I'd follow her instructions just to show her how bad her advice was.. If I just go in & tell her I chose other advice, she'll just blow me off..

Could you perhaps talk with her and explain her why logically it makes no sense?

Agreed

I would say not even that much. Like start at 0.25mg once a week and see where that gets you.

I understand everyone is different, but for what it’s worth, I take 0.25mg Arimidex every 1.5-2 weeks for 200mg Test/week. A little Arimidex goes a long way.

I'm probably going to have to.. I'm going to have to find some documentation to back it up though.

I’m sure there are even better studies out there but this was just one I came across. This one basically found that at between 0.5mg and 1mg per day, Arimidex will reduce pretty much any male’s estrogen levels by 50% in 14 days.

That should be enough to tell any doc that 1mg a day is too much if you want to drop estrogen levels by just a coulple points.
