What type of pool cue do you use? Assuming you have a nice 2 piece cue. Most who enjoy the game end up going this route.

Age 64. Working out for 51 years, through hip replacement, knee surgery, and rotator cuff tears. My goal is to be the old guy who horrifies people when he takes his shirt off.

Some healthy veterans here! :)

Let’s also turn this into a thread of tips that have helped us turn back the clock or at least helped pause it for a little longer? Technical, if possible?

I’ll start:

NMN - derivative of an unusual form of Vitamin B3. Being studied extensively for reversing ageing at a cellular level, with remarkable results so far. Acts as a precursor to various SIRT proteins and NAD+.

Tocotrienols - shown the reverse atherosclerosis.

Vitamin B family - cellular health and DNA transcription.

OMAD (one meal a day) - Uprates tissue catabolism / autophagy. Helps prevent cells reaching senescence.

>5000IU of Vitamin D, with magnesium and Vitamin K3 - helps with bone density, joint health and immune system functions as a requirement for GcMAF.

Gelatin - >250mg / day helps with skin elasticity. Bone broth and sugar free jelly are good sources.

Dietary fats - good for skin elasticity, brain health and hormone production.

Upper and lower trap exercises, along with focus of shoulders rolled back posture correction and neutral head position - stops hunchback syndrome progression and reduces risk of RC injuries and forearm injuries.

Stretching - staying flexible and strong is a key factor in retaining a youthful free range of movement.

Testosterone - this is amazingly relevant to looking and feeling young.

GH - can be helpful in triggering growth / maintaining organ health.

TB-500 - tendon & cardiac cellular health and flexibility

Water - seriously, important for clearance and cellular health / hydration

For me, it’s TRT, keeping levels at 750 to 800, clean diet, resistance bands instead of weights to avoid injuries, and a few well chosen supplements.

Supplements are:
CBD oil
Arginine and Citruline
Curcumin
B12
D
Fish oil
Apple cider vinegar

Cardio is sprints on an old schwinn air dyne 20 to 30 minutes every other day. Resistance work is 30 to 45 minutes every other day for upper body with never more than 30 seconds between sets. I work for a constant pump and bands are perfect for drop style sets and rest pause, as you can change resistance easily by shifting positions. I also split and stack my own wood, and have a barn to muck out, things to haul, and chores to do on our homestead farm.

Haven’t felt or looked this good since my early 40s.

This is me.. Nearly 32 year old

I was very overweight in my 20's.. 15.5 stone.. Currently around 11 stone 5 just now. Not carrying alot of mass but i dont go for that look. I like the lean and fit sort of aesthetics. Im still strong for my stats though and can put a good gym session in.

My joints are showing minor problems.. And also. Carpel tunnel. I love training too much to let it affect me though. I just do alot more warm up's these days and incorporate some oily fish.

You on TRT by a doctor or just taking a test E or Cyp yourself?

Im running Test Cyp as my levels were dreadful. I dont think they would ever recover with HCG etc.. Only to keep levels stable. I aint gonna blast yet.

I have a doctor. I’m on 120 mg test cypionate, injecting weekly. No HCG, no AI. Get blood work every 6 months. From what I read, this is a simple protocol, but it works great for me.

No AI at all? 120mg would raise your estrogen levels? It does with me.. I get some acne & moodiness if i dont take Arimidex EOD.

I suppose if you get bloodwork done this would show up? I get my bloods took every 4 month

Everybody’s different. I am significantly older than you, so this could also explain the difference in our responses.

The cbd oil, have you noticed many benefits?
I use pot, here and there for back pain and sometimes on cycle appetite. But can't have it often, it makes me too dumb. Like my brain lags behind.

That’s interesting. I’ve kept the sublingual oil around for awhile- but never noticed much. How do you dose your powder? Recommend a source? Benefits you notice? Thx

For me, I notice that the combination of CBD and turmeric helps a lot with joint pain and inflammation. It works for me, but not everyone gets a benefit from it. Pot is out of the question. I don’t want to get high. Many confuse the high from THC and the subtle impact of CBD. THC is psychoactive, CBD produces no high and is not showing up on a drug test.

I found best dosing schedule was at night, as it knocked me right out within about 30 minutes. Best night’s sleep, too. :)

I have a lot of CBD research / journal articles / links here, which I’ll be able to post in a couple of days, at this rate lol.

Glucosamine
Omega-3s
Conjugated linoleic acid (this has other benefits, relating to muscle / fat)
Curcurmin - helps prevent inflammation.
-
Gelatin / bone broth (sugar free jelly/jello packets) - also helps skin elasticity a LOT
-
Magnesium
5000IU of Vitamin D
RDI of Vitamin K2
These 3 help with calcium buffering - magnesium helps prevent calcification of tissue, by buffering against calcium absorption. The D3 and K2 are really important for joint and bone health. Overall, these 3 work synergistically together.
-

.. and most importantly, I make sure I warm up and down the joints I’m using. If I’m doing anything really intense, like planches and handstand push-ups, etc., I’ll actually re-warm the joints, like an active recovery routine, while resting between sets. It also helps rest/recover more quickly.
Absolutely smashing the anti inflammation game, quality info

Absolutely smashing the anti inflammation game, quality info
I have a bit more detail and some extra supps, if you’re after anti-inflammatory action. Here’s the anti-inflammation parts of my daily stack:

CLA (conjugated linoleuc acid) - with meals, for fat loss and muscle gains, anti-inflammatory

Forskolin - with meals, for fat loss / prevention, anti-inflammatory, (cAMP promoting.)

NMN - 125mg (replacing Niagen - 250-500mg) - enhanced energy production and precursor to NAD+, which reverses ageing. Anti-inflammatatory (reduces eNAMPT.)

Magnesium - 500mg, prevents cramping. Anti-inflammatory via reducing CRP (C-reactive protein), TNF (tumor necrosis factor alpha), and IL6 (interleukin 6).

Tongkat ali - T booster, anti-inflammatory, analgesic

Tribulus Terrestris - T booster, anti-inflammatory, analgesic

Vitamin D - 5000IU - anti inflammatory (Cells incubated with no vitamin D and in solution containing 15 ng/ml of vitamin D produced high levels of cytokines IL-6 and TNF-alpha, major actors in the inflammatory response. Cells incubated in 30 ng/ml vitamin D and above showed significantly reduced response to the LPS. The highest levels of inflammatory inhibition occurred at 50 ng/ml.)

Acetyl-L-Carnitine 5g - for fat -> energy conversion efficiency. Antioxidant. Anti-inflammatory. (Acetyl L-carnitine acts as an antioxidant, a natural anti-inflammatory that enhances the affects of the other antioxidant systems within the body. These anti-inflammatory properties protect the cell plasma membrane (the cell’s first line of defense) and prevent the conversion of arachidonic acid into pro-inflammatory chemicals.)

Omega 3s - 500mg DHA - protein synthesis and anti-inflammatory (Controlled studies compared ibuprofen and omega-3 EFAs demonstrating equivalent effect in reducing arthritic pain. omega-3 EFA fish oil supplements appear to be a safer alternative to NSAIDs for treatment of nonsurgical neck or back pain in this selective group)

L-glutamine 5g - at night and after sessions, anti-inflammatory, analgesic
Curcumin - anti-inflammatory

Gymnema Sylvestre - glucose disposal / management, anti inflammatory- comparable to Phenylbutazone

How would you compare this to the oils? I love the oils, but it’s pretty expensive. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of sellers of the powder online. Is this something new, and is there any differences in the companies selling it? It seems that this stuff is the way that the CBD oil is produced by the companies, priced up a lot, and sold to the market customers. Is this a way to produce your own oils and eliminate the middle man?

Seems potency may be the difference. Oil seem to carry all the terepines which produce the enerage effect. Where as the powder is isolate(d) CBD and you get more pure CBD.

I can get my powder with and without terepines.

I chose to get terepines and the enterage effect from my thc strains - green crack being my sativa of choice.

https://www.enecta.com/blogs/news/know-your-cbd-cbd-e-liquid-vs-cbd-oil-and-cbd-crystals

So is this (green crack?) the version w full thc?

So is that what they call dabs? Or what they use for dabs? Its the full thc correct?
I'm not trying to ask dumb questions. Legitimately trying to figure out the one (what I'm gathering is cbd) with only the benefits and not the thc and psychoactive properties. I used to love it but unfortunately for me I've given it up. But would like to try the pain relief, anxiety benefits etc. Also for my mother who has terrible arthritis for its pain relief and anti inflammatory properties.

Dabbing is a method. The absolute zero powder is dabbed but it is 99.9% pure with .1% thc which is indistinguishable and nonpsychoactive.

Or you can just buy their vape pens :)
