Shoulder mobility for squats

I can't low bar squat due to mobility in my shoulders I can't get my hands where they need to be so I've had to use high bar squat is there anything I can do to fix my shoulders?

Have you tried shoulder dislocations beforehand with a broomstick or band?

Stretch (and roll and lacross ball a couple of times a week) the pecs and bicep tendons where they cross the shoulder every day in multiple ways. Practice the low bar position as part of these stretches. Without this flexibility, you will never find the correct center of gravity and thus cause undue stress and injuries if 'working through it'. Until it feels right, its not right.

Thanks guys I'm going to try the stetches with the ball and get some bands

Look up 'SuperDtv Shoulder Mobility Work for Lifters!' on youtube for one of the best shoulder mobility workouts and get those power bands....you will need them for your hips etc... in the future if you want to stay in the game (I am 48). Cheers...

These are awesome. I keep a pvc pipe in my living room closet and do these regularly.

Look up 'SuperDtv Shoulder Mobility Work for Lifters!' on youtube for one of the best shoulder mobility workouts and get those power bands....you will need them for your hips etc... in the future if you want to stay in the game (I am 48). Cheers...
