Steak was soooo good. 14oz Striploin with a nice baked potato and salad.

Today is my daughters 16th bday. Just took her to get her "Learners drivers license". Successful! Should be a good day for her..

Was really good session. Funny thing though, it was very damp this morning and the thermo/chill aspect of stimul8 had me so ready for a hot shower when I was done. I was get all hot and sweaty, then feel the chill over come me. Add to that the dampness and I at times was chilled to the bone. Was an interesting thing. (or perhaps I am just weird).

Focus, energy were excellent. I certainly love the full scoop. Mind you I am quite sure my tolerance to Stimul8 has really increased. That said, I am still feeling the full effects off a scoop and that to me is a total win.

After work: Dosed 1 of a scoop of Stimul8

Warmup: 5km run through park - as mentioned previously not a fan of after work runs, but only got 3 hours sleep last night and didn't get up early enough to get it done this morning

This was probably the toughest workout I have done. Likely the lack of sleep but I really had to push hard the entire time, energy levels were low, motivation sucked but didn't give up. Was ready to call it quits after set 6 of the GVT portion.

It sucks having to suppress your appetite. Especially close to bed time when you can't take anything to help you not be hungry.

Add to that the boredom aspect of not going in the garage.. almost feels strange - like cheating myself lol

I really need to get over the whole rest day = cheating myself mental thing.

I know Snags is huge on the rest day (and no doubt knows what he is talking about). I keep pushing 4 on 1 off. So this week decided I do 2 on 1 off, as per the protocol.

Also not sure if I am going to switch it up to the 10x6, or maybe even try Mountain Dog Training.

Highly suggest doing a week of deload training or lighter intensity then start a 12 week MD run. Myself and some others can help you put it together. I'm hooked :)

I'm going merge into his reactive pump program eventually. I'm ordering band set from elite. My gym has a couple sets that is for a class so I was told I'm not supposed to use them on machines lol. I use them when he's not there.

Just reading through the reactive pump program now. Is the mountain dog set up much different? I work out in my garage, so there are some things I can't easily do. I can see the need to get a landmine base or something to slide a bar in for meadows rows.

You'll love Reactive Pump. I'm currently mixing ideas from a few of his programs with my own.

The majority of the exercises are the same (a few different variations). If you put one end of the barbell in a corner, you should be able to do them without an anchor. You could put a dumbbell or sand bag on top of it as well.

Thanks good options there. Going to do some more research and see what I come up with for a program.

I just use a BB for meadows rows like breezy said. There are things I can't do like chains. Don't have any. If you read through enough of his stuff there are plenty of things you can sub in for the things you cannot do. Plenty of options so don't let that stop you. Read his article "how I accidentally got into contest shape" good read.

Let us know when you're ready and breezy and I will help out with anything you need. I guess I shouldn't speak for breezy but I'm sure he'd love to help :)

Tough workout. Mentally was there, but not there if that makes sense. Having some domestic issues, but I suppose that happens when you are a mixed family with a hockey line living at home...and I am sure they will work themselves out.

Really strong pump though. And felt good to not just sit around like yesterday.

Going to try to get up earlier tomorrow (by 530) and get a run in before work. This seems to workout far better for me. Will take some G8 tonight and try to get to bed early - that'll help flush the crap from my mind! lol
