Old Video from 2 years ago i made

Interesting, I've never used egg whites. Is there any concern of salmonella? What I'm trying to do is find a way to make without fruit. I see that the egg white idea would work to accomplish this.
My recipe is
200g frozen berries
1/4 cup milk
40g casein
Already completely hooked on it so was wanting to cut down on the sugar so I could eat it more often lol

Aren't egg whites pasteurized to avoid that?

no problem with the egg whites bro.
Whats wrong with sugar from berries? nothing... They are perfectly fine. They are loaded with anti-oxidents and vitamins/minerals. Fruit is not bad...

The fruit helps a ton with thickness keep it in.

Oh don't get me wrong I agree fruit is great but that messes with my macros lol I was also thinking that since you use casein that it might be a good snack before bed and wouldn't want fruit at that time.

No, just curious why berries are bad and messes with macros. Hell even on Keto people can stay under 50g of carbs with fruit haha.
I try to limit my sugar intake especially in the evening, I was honestly joking when I said it messes with macros that's why I threw the lol at the end. While I do agree its delicious with fruit. I generally use blueberries and use it as my post training protein/carb intake. I find myself craving it at odd times as well, especially in the evenings and figured if it was mostly just protein it would be fine to eat at those odd times.

well fruit sugar and sugar from a little debby is like apples to oranges, your getting micronutrients that you really cant get from many whole foods in fruits which are very beneficial to vitamins/minerals you may not get from other foods in your diet or you cannot get from other grains, proteins, starches etc or not enough via a multi-vitamin. So in the long run that little bit of sugar wont hurt ya. but its going to benefit you and also aiding your immune system (think vitamins) during the winter months and when the seasons change.

Oh absolutely but won't it cause an insulin spike? Side note I'm making your recipe as we speak. The egg white idea intrigues me plus I'm hooked on it haha

Liquid egg whites yes but are egg whites from a raw egg?
You don't have to refrigerate pasteurized eggs and it has a longer shelf life, up to 45 days. All the bacteria inside are killed.

Then why are we always told eating raw eggs can give you salmonella? I guess I didn't realize that. Or maybe it's just a certain brand? I've never cracked an egg that had a p on it.
It's a little more acidic. People buy them because they don't have to worry about the salmonella or how long it's been sitting on the counter. It's a little pricey but a lot of people prefer them over the regular eggs.

Ahh gotcha. That sounds like a great alternative. I honestly was unaware of them.

Protein and amino's (BCAA's) cause an insulin spike bro.
While I appreciate all the input I wasn't asking for nutrition advice simply wondering if you knew a recipe for protein fluff without fruit. You have answered my question already it's obvious you don't. So thanks. This topic has been overly drawn out lol

Well its better to know some fact than no fact. Fruit is fine, you can try without it by all means man and i gave you a different recipe to try with far less fruit, you could nix it, but if it comes out soupy you would know why..

Dont see why you think 50g of fruit is going to kill you in the long run. Thats all.

I don't think its going to kill me, and the 50g fruit recipe is better than the 200g I currently use. I just wasn't looking for a debate on whether to eat fruit or not. I am fairly happy with my current nutritional plan. I was just looking for different ways to make it that's all. Like I said however I do appreciate the two recipes you gave me.

I won't debate that, I'm just letting you know that the protein will still spike insulin.

I don't eat fruit very often. I should, but don't. I don't like it much, and always forget about it and it goes bad lol.
