oh dude you have no idea we lost her at 4 months.. it was the saddest day, my older pup was chasin her and they slammed into the floor (we have wood floors) from the couch and she fractured her leg. Only thing that could be done is to have surgery, supposed to be quick and done.. But she didnt respond well with the anesthesia and she passed on us. The vet called us saying "what do you want us to do, im sorry but we cant wake up your dog". I saw her when we got to the vet and it will haunt me forever....
Yeah you know whats funny tho with dogs its purely genetic. You can try to "bulk" up a dog, but exercise and good diet will only burn fat and gain endurance. Sure muscle will come, but only to what genetics will allow and not many people realize how strong apbts really are. at that weight pull we were at, there was a 38 lb b1tch (full grown, game bred) who pulled a little shy of 6000 lbs. She won first place at almost 190 times her body weight. Now the weight doesnt hurt them, its on a track with v casters and the most work is the initial pull that gets the cart rolling. They wear custom fitted harnesses that help align their weight to give them the most raw power and prevent injury.
And yeah dude these dogs are very sweet by nature. A real pitbull could be slapped, thrown, kicked and punched in the head, and should still be approaching the antagonist with a wagging tail. Of course such a pathetic bastard doesnt deserve a dog, but thats what people dont understand about these dogs.
Ill pull up some more when I get home I got some more pics of him being goofy. SInce I live with my girl she's put hats and crap on him and you should see how pissed he gets. PISSED
