Thats not arrogance, thats idiocy...and I don't think you want to compare that because then we will start pulling up videos showing how stupid some people can get on both sides. Like that wouldn't happen if you were a Phillies shirt in the Bronx? They would probably have ripped it off and taken your wallet at the same time.I have to disagree about the arrogance of Philly fans. I have had people come up to my 6.5 year old daughter wearing her Derek Jeter shirt telling her they planned to burn it. She is 6 1/2 for gods sake.
Thats not arrognace, its stupidity and it runs rampant in both.he Philly media believed their own hype (and NY does too btw). On one station I heard "there is nothing the Yankees have to offer to this series". You want to be paranoid of losing, thats fine, however it clouds their judgement and by definition it is arrogance.
Arrogance is believing baseball revolves around NY regardless of what they do.
Not really.....Its arrogance to think people actually care that much about the Yankees. They simply don't, unless they are fans.My point about the ratings is this: the Yankees are kind of like Howard Stern (big fan btw) whether you like him or not, people want to see what he does. Same with the yankees.
Comparing ratings of a city that has 13 million people in the metropolitan area compared to a city that has 340,000 people (Tampa) just shows how critical thinking is substituted by arrogance in the Yankee world.
