Hello Everyone,
About twenty years ago, I read the books for "Larry North's Slimdown for Life".
In his book, it is basically a very low-fat diet, 60 minutes of walking a day, and 20 sixty second exercises.
These sixty second exercises are a single bodyweight exercise such as calf raises, pushups, squats, etc.
I know they are only beginner levels of fitness. But, this program seems so gentile that it does not seem so drastic at all. Heck, if a person still wanted to go to a gym and heavy workouts on top of this, it would be equally possible.
Why are these bodyweight exercises effective?
Why 60 seconds?
I know with eccentric weight training, having 2-3 seconds eccentric is better than little eccentric or super slow (5 seconds plus). Why the difference?
