Where to find weights

Trying to make a home equity gym while everything is shutdown. Anyone find plates for sale online. Dicks and Dunhams is no luck in my area.
 
Facebook Marketplace. You may have to drive 2 hours depending like I did, but hell of a deal. Most online is sold out.
 
OfferUp, letgo, Craigslist, Varage Sale, FB Marketplace
Shop local and you can find some killer deals with people who want to unload.
 
Yeah I am already looking within 60 miles and nothing. Seems like most websites are sold out or overpriced

The problem with these sites is the sellers are jacking the prices WAYY up because they know you have no choice....
 
I low ball them.
Probably why I didn't get 99 percent of any weights. lol.

Yeah, I was expecting every gym to close down for an extended period of time
 
I found a bench and 200lb of olympic weights with olympic bar for $550

What condition? It sounds like a pretty good deal at this point.
I got my entire setup for 650 delivered with 300lbs of weights, and attachments.

But, at this point there's a need and it seems decently priced.
I'm sure, when all this is over, you'd be able to sell it again. There will be those who will want it.
(That is, if you go back to the gym, and want to sell it off.)

Search "Powertech Gym" in your area on FB Marketplace
There may be one or two with weights, reasonably priced, if you have the space.

Also, search Home Gym.
Sometimes it's how you search too.

Its is pretty good shape. The weights are a little rusty but I dont care about that
 
I went ahead and pulled the trigger. I'm going to pick up the set today after work.

Spent all day looking up to 2 hours away just for plates. Real drag, I called local gyms and they aren't selling anything

Once they reopen they may be selling a bunch of stuff and cheap too.
Gyms go out of business all the time; let alone having such an event transpire like Covid-19.
This could prove the death knell to small gyms, and some franchisees.

I'm always on the outlook for some heavy chains to attached to my bench and rack, but they are $$$.
I like the progressive load they place, so I can feel the heavier weights while reducing the risk.
