What is the best way to figure your lean bodyweight for accurate calorie count?

Due to being so overweight in my mind it wouldn't make sense to eat the calories that most trackers call for. I'm trying to figure out what is the best way to figure up calories when I don't have a way to know what my actual BF% is.

If you know what your "ideal" weight is, use that number.

Google "male body fat" and look at the images online to provide you with a rough estimate. If your body fat is currently very high, your calorie intake won't need to be spot on in order to lose weight. I would focus on eating healthy foods, high protein, low to moderate fat from healthy sources, and fibrous carbs like green vegetables and some lower glycemic carbs like oatmeal, rice, and sweet potato. If you keep it simple and eat less than you're currently eating, and add in a cardio/training program, you'll start to see the scale move. Don't stress over dialing in your calories/macros if you're overwhelmed with it
