No, maltodextrin is actually complex. It's a long chain, but it breaks down fast, has a higher GI than most complex carb sources like oats and what not, and can cause an insulin spike because of all this.
I'm just not sure what maltodextrin is derived from, whether it's a grain source, corn, oat, etc. If it can come from a grain source then Carbo Hit could possibly be malto...
