Well I don't know if I mentioned it in any threads but about 7 weeks ago I heard a pop near my hip flexor area when I was doing a deep squat. Didn't think too much of it, maybe a tendon shifting or something kinda like when a shoulder pops. I practiced that day and it hurt slightly. The next day I woke up and could barely walk. Sat out for about 2 weeks and felt I could go out there and practice (after a long ass ridiculing from coaches that they needed me back practicing). Turns out I tore my rectus femurus muscle that runs inbetween your groin and your hip flexor :(. I just got a cortisone injection for it and will not practice rest of season so that I don't continue to injure it like I had been doing practicing when I shouldn't have. I gotta get ready for the off season cause this spring im no longer ineligible and I can represent you guys ;)..

Bobo want to sponsor me with some Anabolic Minds cleats?!

First, I'm sorry to hear about that. I hope you feel better soon.

Here's a thought for once you're better--
Do you do pullthroughs?

If you don't I would highly recommend doing them once you get healthy. They go a long way for strengthening the hip flexors, which is essential on deep squats. When I started using a box 2 inches below parallel my hip flexors started killing me, but between stretching (go down on one knee and lean forward) and pullthroughs I was able to get used to it. Now, 4 inches is another story...but best of luck with the recovery.
