TRT Trigger Pulled

Trigger pulled.

Started on Friday 2/3/23, initial dose of 200mg. I don't feel all too 'different' yet, but after googling, it looks like it can be a bit.

He's got me on 140mg weekly to start and adjusting from there.

Doc said he doesn't recommend any other supplements at all and advises against.
  • Doc also doesn't lift from what I can tell, so I'm taking that statement with a pinch of salt.
    • He did say I can take what I want, just let him know what it is around blood work time here in 4-6 weeks.
Thanks to @Ripper @Smont and @SSJ4GOD for either chiming in on the other thread or mildly getting in my chest about being indecisive.

I had hopes I could biohack, ice my testicles, etc my way out of low T and yeah, just wasn't going to happen. It was actually very anti-climactic, but I'm gathering that it takes time to feel the effects.

-----

I have a few questions for anyone in the know:

What supplements can enhance results on TRT?

Asking because before I took the plunge, I ordered:

Bulbine - very keen to try this
Black Maca
TongKat
Pine Pollen

-----

  1. Are any of the above worth it now that I'm on T?
  2. Also, what supplements in enhance T while on TRT? I'm currently using Hyperion from Apex, so I'll continue using that til it's time to cycle off of it. Feel free to mention anything.
  3. Anything I should avoid or be aware of?
  4. How to avoid false test results over overly high T? I'm guesstimating I can just stop taking any additional supps a week out from labs and not take T until after labs. I want to avoid being scaled back on actual T.
  5. Any other experience based observations I should be aware of?
I'm doing my own research as always, thanks for any answers here.

And seriously, thanks to the gents above for helping me get over my own hurdle.

Don't add variables. You want the Dr. To figure out your dose and you need to be able to give feedback on energy and libido and what not. You don't wanna be doing too much that could alter it. I would just focus on eating healthy, good sleep a d some exercise till you get a few rounds of bloods done.

To echo, take nothing that isn’t an essential vitamin/mineral or food supplement, or something that doesn’t affect hormones at all (creatine does affect DHT but not enough to worry). Stop all your boosting supps for now, including Hyperion.

The reason for this is to establish a true baseline. If you wait to add them, when you draw bloods on 140/wk and find you’re a high metabolizer, the doctor will bump the dose to accommodate. Once it’s dialed in, THEN add Hyperion and such back in.

Conversely, if you are impatient, you might optimize 140 and it looks good enough that it’s left there, while really maybe you should be on 175/wk.

Your 140/wk is already going to outperform all that stuff hands down, so you aren’t “missing out” not taking those supplements right now. You just leveled up. Focus on the broad strokes to achieve the painting you desire.

A libido stack wouldn't be a bad idea:

Horny Goat Weed
Maca
Yohimbe
Daily Cialis
It’s a terrible idea. Things a doctor needs to know when dialing your dose is : energy, mood, libido.

how’s he gonna know how your libido truly is if you’re stacking stuff to boost it?

when you’re in the 4-5-6 months of dialing your dose you take NOTHING that could mess up any of that.

^^^^^^^^. This right here! Dial in that protocol before all else.

You need to see what your labs look like and also how you feel.

First course it to not add anything but instead increase the frequency of injections. Also note when your T is high range or even slightly over, it is ok for your E2 to also be so don't over do it .
