OK,

I wrote SwoleCat for a couple of things.. and this is the auto-sponder I got .....
Hello and thanks for writing!

I suffered an extremely horrific injury to both knees on 6-20-03.
I am having surgery at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Pacific Standard Time on 6-
21-03. I am working on locating a laptop in order to work from the
hospital, but I may not have access to my e-mail nor my forums until
I am released from the hospital. I am anticipating being released to
go home on 6-23-03, but nothing is definitive as of yet.

If you are already a client and need consultation questions
answered, let me apologize for this inconvenience, as it's TOTALLY
out of my control. We can, and will, extend your consultation out
another week as a courtesy to you in my time of tragedy. I sincerely
apologize to you, and encourage you to ask whatever question you
have in the Swoldier's Paradise (client only forum) @
Invalid Link Removed for insight, as other Swoldier's should be able to
help you.

If you are inquiring about one of my customized programs and/or
consultation, please send your request to [email protected], and you
shall get the information you so desire. You can send you response
back to me at this address, as I should be leaving the hospital near
the time you get the info and respond, and I can get back to you as
soon as I possibly can. There are slots open for custom dietary
guidance, so I'll take care of you.

Take care all, be safe, warm up, and remain injury free! You have no
idea how wonderful the blessing and bodyparts you have are until
they are gone or not able to be utilized as you are used to.

Thanks much, chat soon,
~SC~XXL~2K3~

All:

I suffered torn tendons in both knees this a.m. after a freak accident. (Basketball game, went to jump as I was skying all over the place this morning) I went to jump and heard two loud "POPS" as I went to take off...........

I crumbled to the floor, unable to bend my legs...........

Bottom line............the tendon that attaches from the knee cap to the front of your shin (patella????) totally ruptured. It ruptured at the knee cap, not the patella, so that's a good thing actually.

I'll be out of commission from weights for about 8 weeks..........yes, I'll atrophy a bit, but have already hooked up w/the best Sports Medicine guru around this area to get me back up and SWOLEDUP again. I am looking at about 6-8 months to get back totally to what I am as I type this to all of you.

He said muscle memory is great, and a person my size should have no problems at all, being even better than new. I won't be able to do any shows as I wished to do near the end of this year, but I guess there are more important things I should be focusing on.

Just wanted to share this with you. I'd be lying if I didn't tell you all that I'm depressed as ****, but I'm strong mentally, and I will re-hab and get through this!!!!! I will do it..............for me, for you, for all ya'll..............I got this..........

Surgery 6-21-03, 12:00 noon...........

1 Luv,
~SC~

PLEASE feel free to send him an email as he is checking it now and doing better in recovery....
[email protected]
He can use some of your wishes I am sure....

Said the same @ gaining-mass. I don't know SwoleCat but I have mad respect for him and I wish him a speedy recovery.

i had the same injury on 10/17/03. i also broke my left ankle in the fall. i tore mine while doing an extemely easy set of squats with 325lbs. i was out of the gym exactly 8 weeks and have gotten all of my size and strength back in the upper body. my legs have come along well. i do spinning workouts 3x per week. i have done leg presses and hamstrings for the last month. this is a very tough injury to rehab from. when i first started rehab, i couldn't even complet a full revolution on an exercise bike. i took a full complement of beverly supps while injured and held a lot of mass, which made my comeback easier. good luck, swole, you helped me out several years ago and are a great guy.

damn... just goes to show, you can be extremely healthy AND careful, but accidents/injuries can still happen at any time... luckily he'll bounce back as fast as is humanly possible I'm sure. Swole: try to look at the positive aspects, keep your head up, and best of luck to you bro.

ah thanx win, any injury to a joint can be a real long term pain...sorry to hear about it
