Skin health?

At the risk of sounding like a pussy... Do you folks take anything for your skin?

At 40, I've noticed my skin gets dryer than it used to. I'm pretty good with sunscreen and I don't have any wrinkles yet.

I've read some supplements can help with dry and flaking skin. I do take fish oil but that doesn't seem to help.

Topically, I have been applying moisturizer and following up with Shea butter and it does seem to help.

Any supplements I can take?

P.S. Does anyone remember Poseidon from Nimbus nutrition? That stuff was amazing for skin. Till this day, I don't know what it was. Maybe the shilajit?

You don't sound bad at all; nothing wrong with a guy taking care of their skin.

Fish oil never helped me with it either, which I stopped taking it and started using Algal Oil because Fish Oil bothers my stomach and I hate the taste of fish.

Borage Oil is good for the skin and so is flax oil. You can find some products that have them together in them. I use them both by NOW Foods.

I've noticed that my skin is much better overall since using Apigenin. I take around 400 mg. per day on average. I get 200 mg. from Mood Support XT and then 200 mg. more before bedtime from either Api-Plex Growth Factor XT. I was already using it before Mood Support XT came out and had noticed a difference in my skin and in how fast my hair grows.

I never heard of Poseidon helping with skin. I honestly don't remember the formula; if you want to pm me it to me, I'll be glad to look at it and see if I can figure out what in there could have helped. It could have been just that it helps with hydration and a lot of people underestimate how important proper hydration is for skin.

Senactiv seems to benefit the skin. Been running it high for over a year. Better pores and I maintain a tan most of the season. It's not the melanotan look. Much better imo.

I agree Apigenin is nice too for skin, plus it has so many other good benefits.

Boosting NAD has helped my skin. Took about 3-6mo to notice

Cycloastragenol for telomere support helps skin too. AC11 is good too. I prefer Cyclo.

Eggshell Membrane (SNS Joint Support or CEL Joint Edge)

NAD, GHK Copper (topical) 3x week, honey & tallow skin lotion EOD, astaxanthin, omegas, Apigenin, high dose vitamin c, pearl powder, and glycine 3+ grams nightly. Thyme Out spray for breakouts or redness. Obviously focus on good hydration, appropriate sun exposure and limiting oxidative effects.

I like collagen too but the jury is out on its effectiveness. Goats milk and grass-fed beef collagen is my current go to.

red light therapy EOD if possible.

I haven't noticed poor skin health as I've gotten older necessarily, but it's become something I at least look at.

I've been running pretty big stacks from SNS and CEL and notice a lot of benefits. Some of that I think is just better overall health and sleep. I think SNS Multi is great. Extra Apigenin in several products. I think Spermidine has an effect for me on skin, hair, and nails. Then on top of that I'm using a skin care routine from Caldera Labs which was pretty expensive, but it lasts 6 months. Lastly Red Light Therapy whenever I have time (2-3x per week for 5 minutes).
