Really Painful Poke in my delt, normal?

I stuck a 21 gauge in my delt and buried it and it almost made my arm immobile for awhile. One fellow user told me too, and another told me not to go to deep cause of the bone. What should I do? Everyone tells me delts are the way to go for injection sites, but I have only done them in my glutes until now and my first cc in my shoulder hurt wicked. Should I try again? It seems like the group of people I am doing this with are "Meatheads". I need to take the lead.

Suggestions?
 
Go for a 23G or 25G, and don't go too deep in the delt. You can bury a 1", but leave a little out with a 1.5". What did you shoot?
 
Sounds like you may have hit a nerve. If you inject and feel a tingling sensation, pull out and try another site (after switching pins of course). I've used 25g, 1" for delts and it worked great. With a 25g it takes awhile to push the oil, but in the long run it will leave less scar tissue. Try real hard not to move the needle while injecting, that will make it more sore.
 
21G is a pretty hefty needle, get some 25G 1" and make sure you relax when injecting. It is easy to slightly flex the delt when injecting which will cause some soreness and also go slow with pushing the gear in. Good Luck
 
I use 22G 1.5" and leave just a little bit of the needle sticking out.
Also use 23G 1" and just bury that one. Can't really feel a difference between the two.
 
You should never bury it just incase it snaps off - you will not be able to retrieve it your self. If you leave a little room and it snaps - you can pull it out IMHO.

SNAPS OFF??? What kind of chincy needles are you using?
 
i am just saying - it is not wise - leave a little bit of room - it has not happened to me - what if a cat jumped on your head while you were injecting?;)
 
Why don't ya shoot yer quads? I love quads, you can see what you're doing, you can massage it after the poke. It's my favorite.

I like it myself.:) It happened just last week, i have a pic! I was not injecting at the time though. :( So i dont have any real input here. :(

But using a 21 gauge in the delt probably would sting a little. :)

Just a follow up, it took a while but i am almost out. This is where it gets really disgusting.
