need help with song/band

hey bros, do any of you remember a song from the late 80's early 90's that went something like "cause were the cowboys" it was a metal song, im not sure if the phrase was totally correct, but i do remember the "cowboy" part. i know its not cowboys from hell, or wanted dead or alive. i just can't think of the band or the song, hopefully someone will know.
