Greetings. I’ve been researching different performance enhancing Rx and landed upon MK677. I wanted to know what people that have experience using this think. Pros, Cons, dosage, etc… I’m 33 years old and have never used anything other than creatine and protein powder. I don’t really want to get into anabolic steroids or even TRT. I’ve been working out for years, but wanted to boost myself some.

It's kinda like your gray area between natty or not. It's going to make you hungry, should make you hold a little water initially and make your strength go up a bit. Recovery should improve and all these things should help put on a little extra muscle. Nothing mind blowing, but a step over creatine if you will. Don't eat a bunch of garbage or it can jack up your bloodsugar

Mk677 (ibutamoren) is a peptide that mimics ghrelin, its also a potent releaser of growth hormone, making your body produce as much as an equivalent of 2-3 iu of hgh. 5 days on 2 days off split is best for mk677, dosage can range from 10mg on the lower end to up to 50mg, 25mg is a lot of peoples sweet spots.

Side effects:
-insulin resistance, this is the most alarming one. Definitely get a glucose monitor and you need to take a good GDA for glucose control
-anxiety, since it can make you hungry it can kind of activate your fight or flight in some people and cause anxiety.
-water retention, I have heard of people using dandelion root or something like that along with mk677 to help with water retention.
-increased hunger, can be a good or bad side effect depending on your goals.
-lethargy

Pros:
-much better sleep
-more hgh
-much more igf1
-better recovery
-strength gains
-muscle growth

Hope this can help.

Take it before bed and you avoid almost all the purported side effects.

Don't worry about the water retention or taking anything to counteract it if your BP is good.

Don't worry about the insulin sensitivity unless your are already pre-diabetic and/or your diet contains refined sugar outside of supporting your workout. Like Smont said, don't eat garbage.

Is it worth it guys on a cut? Im thinking about that the water retention is n9t a good thing during cut but im not sure. The hunger does t concern me even though im low on calories.

Take berberine with every meal if your gonna use mk677 or a glucose disposal agent. But it's kinda dumb to mess with your body insulin sensitivity just for almost not putting on much gains. You can also be pre diabetic and not know it. Like don't bother man it's not really worth it. If your gonna do anything do testosterone, you'll get gains it's a bio identical hormone your get like good gains, don't go on trt permanently you could use test for 3 months pct and gain 10lbs and look jacked. With virtually no risk.use 300-400 MG and a ai. Like arimadex. Then put with hcg and clomid.its simple man and your not using shitty "research" drugs

I use to take it before bed and it worked fine then someone told me to take it 12hrs before I hit REM sleep to get a bigger boost of HGH any truth to this . His theory was MK has a 24hr half life so it will peak after 12 hrs so try to time it about an hour after you fall asleep

It definitely takes days to clear out and maybe more b4 your levels drop.and I was like a month b4 my hunger went away, but who knows about the sleep all I know is good sleep w wierd dreams. But do what you want

Honestly at 33 with no prior compound use and "wanting to boost myself some" as the goal, MK-677 is probably the wrong starting point - it's a research chemical (not FDA approved), it's not a steroid but it works by mimicking ghrelin to amplify your natural GH pulses, and the catch nobody mentions is that it noticeably worsens insulin resistance in most users and bumps fasting glucose, which is the opposite of what you want metabolically at your age.

Most of the guys who actually benefit from it are 45+ with confirmed low IGF-1 on bloodwork after they've already optimized sleep, training, and body comp for at least six months - at 33, your natural GH/IGF-1 axis is almost certainly fine and the compound is solving a problem you don't have.

This is a good article on this - https://www.powerandbulk.com/tips/hgh-mechanisms/mk-677-ibutamoren-honest-review/

(covers dosing -12.5mg before bed not morning, 12 weeks on / 6 off, never indefinite plus the insulin issue, the 3-6 lb water retention, the appetite spike, and exactly who qualifies vs who shouldn't touch it).

I'd read it before spending money, because at your age you're probably closer to "doesn't need it" than you think.
