LIQUID EGG WHITES

Has anyone tried the liquid egg whites. It sounds like a good deal and they aren't very expensive. Check them out at Invalid Link Removed I just want to know if they taste bad or not.
 
I like them... Buy them at Costco.. very cost effective..

Practically all protein.

this morning for breakfast I scrambled up a whole carton or the equivlent of 16 egg whites, and ate it 100% whole wheat toast.

Hmmmm good. :)

You don't have to buy that stuff... unless of course the price is right.. all it is.. as far as I can tell is pure 100% pasturized egg whites.. same thing you find at the grocery store. Or costco in my case. :D

I haven't seen this at the Sams I go to. Either that or I'm not looking hard enough.

it comes 3 cartons at a time.. each carton is 2 cups.

costs me less then 4 bucks canadian for all 3 cartons.

I think its called "Just egg whites" or "100% egg whits" or "simply egg whites"

You can find them in single cartons in the grocery store.. but it will cost you twice is much.. from my experience.

p.s. I buy my 1% cottage cheese at Costco too. :)
 
I just buy regular eggs and seperate the yolks. It's definately cheaper, I shop at sam's and an 18 pack of eggs is like $1. If cost isn't an issue and you're looking for convenience then go w/the prepackaged whites.

I haven't checked out costco in a while and need to. Sam's doesn't have anything better then 2% cottage cheese. Sounds like the egg whites might be cheaper at costco as well.
 
I use Egg Starts by Kirkland (at Costco). 0 grams of cholesterol and fat with 6 grams of protein, per serving.. And they're very inexpensive compared to the kind you get at your local grocery store...

Us Canucks get the eggwhites from Costco :D

Been getting them for 2 years now. Cheap like borscht!
 
I buy the Egg Beaters from either Sams or usually from BJ's.....
 
I buy mine in a 5 gallon bucket at a local bakery supply warehouse. Costs $15 for 5 gallons (30 pounds).

That's the way to go.. but can you eat that much before they go bad? :)
 
Gordons food service - GFS, if one is around you $20 for 6 1/2 gallon containers - 80 servings each - 4 servings a cup. Easiest solution I've found yet, you can free the remaining 5 while your using one. any wholesale place for bakery's should carry them, or something similiar.
 
I've bought the egg whites from eggwhitesint once before and they're nice, but not special enough to stop me from just going to a local store now and getting some Eggbeaters.

Now, that's the way to go. I wish I had a nearby place where I could do that.

I guess if your not at the great lakes AND OR the 3 locations in FL (I especially like the one in KEY WEST) then your S.O.L.

Just Froogle it. You may be surprised. If not, you could try to hit up a local bakery and find out where they get them. Maybe they'll even sell you some.
