Interesting take on pwo carbs

Interesting article on pwo carbs, I've always done atleast 75g of waxy maize pwo but this might be the thing to do for those who are looking to lean up or just shock the system with a low carb diet.

Let me know what you think?

Personally, I usually only eat protein immediately PWO due to my schedule. I finish my workout 1.5 hours before bed and most of my cals have been consumed before WO. I maybe have 2 eggs on toasted wheat bread(28g carb total) an hour after my initial PWO protein shake, if that. Last night it was 2.5 scoops of protein and then off to bed an hour later.

I've been seeing great results(recovery, gains, fat loss) as I've been cutting/recomp lately. But I'm also pretty carb sensitive and insulin bombs PWO only ever got me fat.

The main thing to remember is everyone is different. But it's definitely worth a shot. That said, if it isn't broke, don't fix it. Consistency is the key.

I totally agree on the consistency, I've been taking 75g waxy maize with 2 scoops Xtend immediate pwo then about 20 minutes after 1.5 scoops whey in 2 cups skim milk and some fruit or toast.

Most studies that have compared groups given BCAA/EAA, BCAA/EAA + Carbs, or Carb drinks post workout have found the greatest rates of protein synthesis with the BCAA/EAA + Carbs beverage. The idea is that the carbohydrates slow the rate of protein breakdown present after exercise. The highest levels are seen in groups given BCAA/EAA+Carbs+High levels of leucine.

Here is a study on CHO, PRO, PRO/CHO:

And here's one on leucine:
