High volume question

Does this help with actual blood flow not just pump? I know, from personal experience, that this is fantastic for pump; but does that mean it actually increases blood flow? I ask because i have poor circulation to my hands and especially my feet. It doesn't bother me to much other than in winter. Also i am and avid skier. I find it impossible to keep my feet warm when i ski. They get so cold that it becomes painful and i lose movement in my feet. This is not because i am dressed improperly but from my poor circulation to my feet. It doesn't help that my ski boots have to be super tight for me to get good performance. I also travel alot to ski and i go to places that have super high elevation at times. This makes my performance terrible because i am not used to be that high up. I have even got elevation sickness a few times.

So my questions are
-Does high volume actually increase blood flow?
-If it does help with blood flow, will it help blood flow to hands and feet?(which should help them stay warm?? Correct?)
-Will it help poor endurance caused by high elevation?
-would this help prevent elevation sickness?

Yes components of this do increase blood flow, this can however be selective to certain tissue

You could have better luck with other bulk herbs that would be cheap to add for bloodflow.

It will assist endurance, at least acutely when used, and in reducing soreness it can help how you feel afterwards.

I do not think it will effect elevation sickness at all for you.

Im glad you are using and love High Volume brother.
I think if you re-posted this question about bloodflow and elevation to supplements and titled it to be looking for suggestions, you will get great help from AM.

In regards to altitude, don't go super high from day one. Give your body the chance to acclimatize and go slowly.

When you feel the effects of altitude it's better to go down. Altitude sickness is not something you really want to mess around.

You can try taking acetazolamide (google it first) if you go beyond 3000 meters in altitude.

Age also plays a role in acclimatizing so again give yourself time when you're out there in the big mountains.

This isn't really possible for me. I drive to where i am going in 1 day then ski the next or the same day and head home as soon as i am finished. My drives can be anywhere from 2 hours up to 14 hours and range from 3000 to 8000+ feat increase in elevation from where i live; which is at about 2650 feet in elevation. Also when skiing i go up and down 1500+ feet over and over.

Ya i found this out the hard way. I passed out and hit a tree while skiing. I was lucky and did not brake anything or have internal bleeding but i had to stay at the hospital for 3 and 1/2 days to treat me for the elevation sickness.

I will definitely look into that. I also heard that viagra can help prevent elevation sickness and help with performance/endurance at high elevations. Apparently it helps because it dilates the pulmonary vein but i don't want to ask a doctor for viagra. Also i am not to sure how true that is either.

I am kind of confused of what you meant here.

Basically, the younger we are we tend to not pay attention in signs of altitude sickness or feeling tired etc therefore getting hit harder.

The older we are our body adapts to elevation better and sometimes faster than a younger person's. At least this what I've learned through high altitude mountaineering.

What you could possibly do (if possible) is go high slowly so instead of hitting that untouched powder slope at over 8K feet first thing, try a couple of runs lower and then go up. See it as a warm up. :)

Happy shredding!

Sorry, should have prefaced that I'd be mixing the High Volume and Beta Alanine with Karbolyn.
Hopefully you decided against that, as I mentioned it in the other thread you created.
