Have you tried DLPA?

I tried regular phenylalanine and didnt like it that much, but I think I had a crappy brand. I heard its good for many things inclube pain. I work out 4-5 days a week and my muscles are always tight. Unrelated but I use very heavy weight on my upper body and low weight on my legs. Anyway do you like this supplement?
 
I liked it for a few weeks and then anxiety reared it's ugly head. I liked the energy and would probably try it again with little weekly cycles, but haven't done so yet. I'm fairly certain I started a thread on it where I was blown away and then started not liking it.
 
Thank you. I felt really lazy very soon after I took it. I don't think I'll be taking it again. I honestly can't remember what I did with the bottle. I think I will give to my dog instead.
 
May want to try just D-phenylalanine for the pain relief if that is what you are after. I've had much better luck with l-tyrosine for the energy and focus instead of DLPA.
 
I think it's not working good because I use tyrosine everyday. Was better that the regular one but I was yawning, very soon after taking it.
 
Im a bigger fan of Tyrosine, if you had bad reactions to DLPA i would recommend trying 1-2grams Tyrosine daily.

Curious. I almost wonder if it has to do with the down regulation or inhibiting of norepinephrine release in order to maintain or return to homeostasis since you already take tyrosine everyday.
 
Yeah, I actually went back into old logs based on this discussion and I have references to l-tyrosine being the ultimate supplement and comments about talkativeness and alpha. It's amazing and I am not certain why I don't have it as a staple other than possibly rhodiola taking its place. I'm going to pick it up tomorrow and swap the rhodiola for another trial.
