Google Chrome, WTF

I just got on my laptop today and pressed backspace to go back and the page stayed the same. I tried it again and a message popped up stating to use alt + the back arrow.

I did a quick search, I have to leave in a bit so I don't have time to look at it extensively right now, and it seems like Chrome disabled the backspace button to go back due to user errors. I haven't had an update for Chrome, so I don't know how I finally got this addition. It seems like the update cam in June.

Is there a way to enable to backspace button? I miss it already.

It does. I had to restart Chrome, but it works like it once did.

Dude it is nuts how much memory it uses! I've got a pretty nice rig, but work online and usually have a ton of windows open and it blew my mind when I ran task manager and saw that. It doesn't even make sense to me how in the hell it can use that much
